Try disabling everything except for sodium. If it launches, close the game and try again with a couple more mods enabled. Do this until you find a mod that could be an incompatability

also 1.16 is p mid - i mean, it requires an older(2.0) opengl version standard compared to 1.17 and anything above it(3.2), also java 8 being the default (apparently, from past experience) instead of java 17.
and like mod creators which abandoned some projects at that specific version.

only way to possibly get around with this is with either the mod i mentioned 3 chapters ago, or with those sussy opengl32 dll files off random websites(i don't support downloading random .dll files off random websites)

you understand mods right?, you prob have feather installed right?
so go onto the launcher then proceed to "mods" right below "play", click on "Browse Mods", then click on "modrinth", click on Search Mods, type "forcegl20" in, click the thing named "ForceGL20", a sidebar will appear, then you'll look at the version you want to play, then you click "Add" and then you launch the game to see if that works.

Is that what you are using?

Go to your settings > apps > type in feather > click the process and press uninstall

Cracked Clients are illegal and most of the time have viruses and other malicious files installed inside of them along side of feather client

It's not recommended, therefore I'm not going to tell you how, but I can tell you how to reinstall the normal feather client.

Hey, ive been using feather over the past week and its been causing some very concern able things to happen on my pc. Originally i thought there was another issue going on with my pc but the more i used Feather the more i realised it was the cause of the issues, File explorer would constantly freeze along with applications, and sometimes it would require a hard restart to actually fix the freeze. Today specifically i was on chrome trying to watch a show on netflix and just fullscreening it would cause my pc to lock up. I then realised while opening Feather that it would display my status on discord as me playing some game called "Puzzle Pirates: Dark Seas" a game ive not only never heard of but definitely never downloaded. and this alone was a concern and happened multiple times after restarting pc and opening the client. Since then ive uninstalled the client and all these freezing issues and what not are gone. I downloaded the launcher from the official website and havent downloaded anything else before or after this problem appeared. Im not sure whats going on with this client but its fishy asf.

You'll need 2 separate .minecraft folders in %appdata% you can call it .minecraft2 or something.

Open Feather and launch game, close Feather launcher (it won't close the actual game). Reopen Feather, go to settings and change Minecraft Path to second folder, launch again. You should have 2 minecraft instances running ^^

Set the template as "Fabric" and your desired version you choose - be sure to download the mod version that supports your chosen version. (On the modrinth website you should be able to just filter the versions - upload the latest version)

^^ Also the "Magic Origins" mod works on every version above 1.19 that the required mods also are supporting. (According to their description)

Make sure you downloaded mod along with its dependencies and placed it in %appdata%\.feather\player-server\servers\[your server here]\mods. (Alternatively just click open folder in servers tab - attached first screenshot)

You should have the following mods:

• Fabric API
• Magic Origins
• Origins
• Pehkui

Shoud look something like the second screenshot attached. (I used Fabric 1.19 ^ in the above example)

Then on the client-side (for you and your friends), make sure you are using Magic Origins, Origins & Pehkui mod (with the minecraft version you are using). 3rd & 4th screenshot attached.

It's important you install Fabric API as it'll kick you without this mod in the server mods folder.

when i open minecraft all the text is ▯▯▯
