it doesn't really fix anything since well it's an addon for sodium which supports the fabric rendering api, vanilla minecraft is already stable modded minecraft turns it onto unstable for the cost of either more features or better performance.
and there's like 7 or more mods dependent on it, also "Indium will not provide a performance benefit over using only Sodium" is mentioned on the mod page so yk.

optifine being optifine, and optifabric's(not a port, a bridge mod) only goal to get optifine to run on fabric unofficially... meaning it just enhances the incompatibility... all of the issues.

it's just mod incompatibility, if one mod doesn't work, that doesn't mean others won't, it just means it can be possible or likely for others to not work.
but since replaymod isn't pre-added/enabled by default and optifine uses outdated methods for optimizing the game there isn't that much of a comparison to a mod that rewrites the light engine and a mod that refines entity culling.
