Every time the feather launcher opens it has to relog you in so it goes to the Mojang auth servers and does some stuff and logs you in. When mojangs servers are down feather trys to log you but because the servers are down it cant

That's why it says "checking saved accounts" on the launcher load screen

Because it's checking the json file and logging you in (or trying to)

Hence why that guy yesterday saying that "just get a temp account" 's strategy won't work because it will see the invalid account and will log out
