no, fabric is what's used on the minecraft versions that fabric supports.

I love Feather but whatever was changed in the last 24 hours makes the client unplayable. it went from butterly smooth to very jerky slow graphics. Is there a way to revert to the previous version?

Update: I found the Item Info mod, turned it off and all is back to greatness. Maybe don't enable that by default until it's polished
