i was playing save breaker for the 4th time cause my save broke(who couldve seen that coming), but when i got to the level "calibrating laser cannons", my game completely crashed. to be clear, i didnt even get to load in, i just clicked on the level in the map, and my game crashed. now whenever i try to open the game, all i get is a completely black window. though after i get the "turing complete is not responding" prompt, if i click on "wait", eventually the music loads, before my ram completely fills up and freezes my pc. i tried verifying my game files, deleting my save and reopening, even uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing worked. im running on linux mint 22.3 with cinnamon using x11, heres the output when i run the game in the terminal(i have to kill it otherwise my memory overflows): MyName@MyPcName:~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Turing Complete$ ./Turing\ Complete.x86_64

for some reason, even though i am running the linux build, running it with proton fixes the issue. id give steps to reproduce but i cant open the game to see if its consistent without getting all the way back to calibrating laser cannons, which i will do but its midnight for me rn so ill do it tomorrow and update this post.

after getting back to the level through very legitimate means, i can confirm that it doesnt crash my game when running with proton, without proton it still wont open though

Are you sure you deleted your save? The new save location is ~/games/Turing Complete/ when not running the Proton version. (The Proton version very likely uses a different save game location, which would easily explain why one is crashing and the other is not.)

(Also, I would only delete the level that causes the problem. If you delete the whole save, next time you start it the game will try to convert from the old save location again and if there's still your old save there, it might end up again with a broken circuit for Calibration Laser Cannons.)
