Apologies if this has already been talked about; I searched and couldn't find anything 🙂
I noticed that when you save a schematic in the campaign then it's only available in that particular level. I found this really annoying since future levels build on things you've done already, especially in the very early game where you're mostly just building more and more complex variations of similar circuits.

And the progress you've made is often saved as a component? The only reasonable use case I can think of is assembling Counting Signals, in which case it indeed makes sense to copy from previous levels.

Maybe when you get to the later stages of the game then that's true (I hope it is and I don't have to keep building adders from scratch or w/e). I'm just looking at my own experience as a simple factory monkey who got the game because CPU architecture is a silly lil' hobby of mine 🤷♂️

In this case, it's pretty early for you to make suggestions - you didn't even get to the level where you make a turing complete computer. But as you might notice, you already have AND, NAND, OR, NOR, NOT - so you don't need to remake them, this is what I'm talking about. As you keep going, the game will keep saving your solutions into components (for many of the levels), so keep looking at available components!

Fair! I'm just old and experienced enough to know that if I don't complain about some little nitpicky thing then nobody ever will; if you know what I mean 🙂 I'm getting through things just fine but I'm always trying to think of ways to make this kind of stuff more accessible and fun for everyone 🙂

The thing is, before you complain about something like that, it's better to make sure the thing you want really doesn't exist yet, and not just hidden until you progress further. And you just started the game, that's why I said it's too early for you to suggest things, you didn't see many things yet

I'm not sure how "you didn't see many things yet" corresponds to hooking players in the early game

Sure but things like being able to copy and paste stuff between campaign levels is something that I think should be emphasized. I never would've even known it was something I could do if @modern token hadn't mentioned it, and it seems like it's something that is pretty important if you want to actually have fun (unless your idea of fun is doing the same thing over and over again)

Well tbh, I thought you were further in the game. You currently can't even know if copy paste isn't explained later on (it isn't, but that isn't the point)
And also, at this point for these levels, copying over solutions is basically useless if you aren't massivly overcomplicating everything
