#PID tuning for a 80kg drone

ArduPilot is NOT certified for use in applications where ArduPilot is effectively in control of human lives. Members of the development team must not knowingly assist in projects where ArduPilot will be in control of human lives. “In control of human lives” includes but isn’t limited to manned aircraft.
I am not using ardupilot but pixhawk 2.4.8
Where I live this was the cheapest option because my budget is very limited.
If you have contact with any professional please tell me , it would mean a lot.
Thanks
pixhawk 2.4.8
That's the name of the hardware you are running. The firmware is either ArduPilot or Px4 on that board.
Be safe.
Professionals ?
Maybe there https://discord.gg/SHsdUkbS
You will get the same quotation of the code of conduct there. You are seriously downplaying the level of risk involved.
Your safety is your own responsibility.
I will no longer be participating in this conversation. End of this.
Thanks
You are putting your life at risk and you are using the cheapest options you can find?
this is the best thing I've ever seen
Holy crap, I also have no idea how to help but that looks ludicrous!!
I have no other options mate
Thanks
Thanks
I put it on youtube please share -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uEefSRd8SA
I have to ask, what is the purpose of building this thing? Are you required to build/test this thing somehow?
Seeing as you're not sure on the difference between the hardware and firmware names raises some concerns.
What size/kv motors do you have and can you provide more details on the frame?
Looks like you're already having severe stiffness issues in the frame
Modern day Da Vinci over here🤣
I hope you get this working, this is sick
But get some god damn protection on the seat, dont want to end up without legs
Also it seems waaay to flexible to even fly propperly, even with a good PID
Yeah I'm thinking of adding some more rods to make it stiff
Thanks!
Haha yeaah I got some cuts in my hand because soldering of one motor came loose and altho I was just 1 feet above the ground my hand went into the prop
Surely I'll add some rods parallel to the frame to make it stiff.
Thanks for helping you all are a great community.
Have you done an FEA analysis on the frame? Would help a lot
Can you please elaborate, I don't know what that is.
I searched for that on the net , I think we need paid software for that ....
I am very VERY budget limited because this entire project is built under 2.5k usd as my parents are providing money for me
I am just 16 I cant get money from anywhere else my parents are the only support for me rn
Man seriously if you're not able to do this sort of proper stuff you really need to reconsider doing it.
Don't get me wrong it looks super fun and I'd love to do something like that myself but even if you aren't concerned about safety you will not be able to get good results without proper analysis
Free FEA software is available but if you don't know how to set it up properly the results aren't accurate
Crap in, crap out
Sure I get your point
Yeahh sure I'll look into that
Thanks for the help
YOU ARE WAY BRAVER THAN ME
Thanks

I don't have any other choice
Ik its a little risky but I have to do smthn
Youtube
Nice
Not a little; but alot.
Your safety is in your own hands, don’t let dreams overshadow precautions. 🙂 Take the steps you believe are necessary and also the ones that are actually necessary for your own safety. 😄
I uhhhhhh...
not gonna lie I thought this post was a joke
as dangerous as this is, it is pretty impressive
Yeah
Surely man thanks for caring .
I agree its dangerous but I fly it very little under 3 meters of height so....
If I get help from the government I'll surely add a better flight controller of
The danger is not limited to the height of your flight above ground.
The danger is also because of the parts being hobby grade and the electronics reliability.
At any point a failure of the prop can send flying shards.
Failure of the stabilisation or a motor desync or stutter will result in the same.
Still alive?
Yeah 👍
