I got the TinyHawk 2 Freestyle RTF kit about a month ago and I was recently attaching a RunCam Thumb to the 5v connector on the FC. After doing so and going for the first flight, everything worked fine except the VTX range. After about 5-10 feet, it completely lost signal. I've checked every channel and made sure the antenna was soldered on but it all seems fine. I unplugged the RunCam Thumb (not unsolder) and the problem persists. If I need to unsolder it or if anyone knows whats going on please let me know thanks.

this is basically the same as the example forum post
Btw I got one of those too but didn’t upgrade anything... It has shit range out of the box for me too, but like 10-15 feet is rough
I maybe get max 50 meters?
the vtx is shit, the antenna is shit, the rx is shit
Sooooo
Probably a bridge then, idk what you could’ve changed
Sorry
bridge?
what’s that
oh like connecting two ports in the fc
i’ll check
hard to get a good picture but the two wires are the runcam and there’s a piece of solder next to it that might be the problem
I’m not an expert at soldering, but no offence, that soldering is... ewwwwww
I’d say try to remove and re solder
yeah one of my first solders
ill get better but it does the job
i got rid of the piece of solder next to it and everything is good now
Sick! Happy you fixed it! Have fun!
