So I want to fly my very first flight tomorrow with my Meteor 85 and I am not quite sure what to do. I know how to pair your goggles with your drone, but I am not sure how you do the same thing with your controller. Also I don’t know which I have to connect firstly. AND I am not sure what to do after I flight, for example if you have to check your battery voltage or how to properly disconnect your controller with your drone… any help appreciated!
Items I use
Drone Meteor 85, Controller Tx12 mk2 elrs version, goggle avatar walksnail hd

On betaflight with a bind phrase?
so as soon as you turn on both, they bind
yeah
Its as easy as that? Oh wow
And firstly turn onyour radio?
you first turn on the radio, then the quad
So no throttles are positioned uncorrectly
Ok
And you bind your goggle with drone with a button
i think so, you will have to look up how to do that. do you have your quad with you now?
Yes, unfortunately Its raining, its dark, its cold and i dont have any batteries charged yet
lol
But I already tried it once and got some clear image, had to unplug my quad because it was nearly burning
Im gonna do that again when i will actually get in the air 👍
Ok if everything is bound I just fly
Can i just use a new battery after one got empty? And the goggle notifies you when low goggle bat voltage?
well, you only need to bind it once
then when you turn on the quad and the setup it binds automatically'
mhm
Ok
have you practiced in a simulator?
Should i check the batteries voltage after every flight? Or is it just fine when i land at 3.5v?
Liftoff for some hours
But im quite good
land at 3.5ish
Will it get back to 3.8v automatically ?
when you land, you just get as close to the ground as you can, then disarm
what?
no
it will stay at 3.5
Like 3.8 is storage voltage
until you charge it
no
huh
leaving them at 3.5 or 3.6 for up to a week is just fine
Oh alright
so if you intend to fly later in the week, or the next day, just feel free to leave them be
And if you are not gonna fly for weeks just storage charge?
correct.
Oh, and what about the goggle battery. When should I storage charge it, also after im sure im not gonna fly for longer? (Just asking cuz it wont get fully discharged after every flight)
yup.
goggle bats usually last a longer time
since goggles don't draw much current
Oh and i have some problems with my channel selection on my controller. Whenever i select arm for ch1 for example and i powr off and power on again my controller its gone..
what do you mean?
what "channel selection"
is it in betaflight?
You can setup the „things“ you want to have for arm/disarm, beeping and stuff
You can do it on your radiomaster
Wait ima get my radiomaster real quick to show you what i mesn
or do you perhaps mean the mixer tab in edgeTX
don't fly around people....
Ok
