#Hey so im wanting to get into fpv drones and i dont know where to start with buying products

what's your budget
i really dont know what a good budget is
not too much cause i currently dont have a job
for a standard 5", a budget build would be around 650$
for a 3" it can be around 400-500$
and for a tinywhoop it can be closer to 350
maybe a 3" would be more affordable
a good 3" build would be like
petrel 120x (140) or baby ape (110)
zorro (130) or boxer (140) or tx12 (100)
charger (80)
ev800d (110)
misc (50)
what about all the other parts
i have little experience with building small quads, i would wait a few hours until @undone light is on, he will know a lot more about this stuff.
alright thank you so much for ur time i might go with a prebuilt just cause first time but ill look more into it when vitroid responds
building a 3" is not too easy, not much space
gotcha
thats why i wanted a 5" but jeez the price
and thats what for a prebuilt
sorry one more question what is a good drone charger ik it might sound dumb
no dumb questions, no such thing
as for charger...
also is the little connecter for a lipo battery
hmm, a decent one would be the toolkitrc M7 or M8 or M9
along with an ADP100
that's called an XT-30, we use it for connecting lipos
for 5" quads it's common to use an XT-60, but smaller quads like to use XT-30 or even other stuff
so what kinda of batterys would i need to use for a smaller drone since it needs less power output im guessing
depends on the quad, and vitroid or baguette will be able to answer that for you
i think i might go with the "baby ape"
it's a decent pick. make sure to get the ELRS verion. and afaik you should get the babyape pro v2? but again i could be wrong
ELRS verion radio?
oh i see nvm
i could get it off darwinfpv but im not sure if its a trusted site but it the companys drone?
yes darwinfpv is trusted
this one
oh okay thank you ill buy it as soon as possible so i can see the hype:)
and will the tx12 mkII be fine to pair up with that?
that looks different
scary
Yes, if you pick the ELRS TX12
What's scary about it
The fact that I’m new to this lol
I made sure so it would work properly
What battery pack should I buy cause there are so many and Different sizes and idk what’s best😭
On the product page it should tell you the recommended battery specs
Important is that you spot voltage (cell count (S)), capacity (mAh) and the connector used (xt30 in this case)
Okay I’ll look into it rq
Then you look for possible options from well known manufacturers like chinahobbyline (cnhl) or gaoneng (gnb)
I use 3s 450 mah batteries. 5 bucks a pop from cnhl on aliexpress.
You should also start in a simulator since these drones are verry hard to fly
What simulator do you recommend
Also thank you for the information I will use some of them
I use tryp fpv but id recommend velocidrone or liftoff
What launcher would those be on if you don’t mind me asking
I see the one ur using is off of steam
Yes liftoff is steam, but velocidrone is more realistic to compare to real life physics.
I have the same, I like it
Can back up. I have 9 of them, 3s 450 cnhl, they’ve all held up great for over a year. Personally I don’t see the point of spending over double for minimal gain on a micro:
When 1 cell dies i make em into 2 1s cells
For my mobula 7
@cunning oracle welke drone vlieg je hiermee
