I’d like to think one of the reasons their focusing on the games rather than the series is due to budget. A series is NOT cheap, especially when it comes to paying animators, writers, directors etc. Sticking to a game saves a lot of money, the series was probably a gamble when it first released.

I mean at the time if I recall the views on each episode were around 1M the first 3 months, which is good but I think would be better with what views they have now at the time.

And to answer your question unfortunately the animated series was the only really in-depth explanation to the subway surfers universe lore, however recently they’ve been making character introduction profiles that to add some info to specific characters. I would advise checking out the social media posts & trailers, and maybe even some former streams from the devs/pr team

For now a lot of content on lore is discussed here which is mainly theories, speculations, and headcanons because truthfully we (fanbase) are just generating our own ideas and coming to consenses on headcanons while waiting for actual tidbits of info

If they ever revived or rebooted the series I doubt he’d even be worked on as an initial character, if they planned on introducing all the characters he’d probably be way farther down the road as he’s newer

I headcanon he used to have a relatively ordinary life before he was brought into Infinity.

He was just an ordinary government worker before he was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Infinity raided his facility to get rid of anyone who potentially knew too much about them.

Miraculously, Frank survived the whole thing, and so Infinity recruited him because they thought he'd be useful to them. Infinity then gave him a bunch of cybernetic enhancements to help him carry out his missions.

Hin being a cyborg would explain the super speed in Flux.

Sindri was a very unknown musician in his hometown,with really his only supporters showing up to his recitals being Leif and his family, it seemed nobody in his hometown appreciated his langspil music, he was so upset that he saw less and less people show up at his Recitals so he went to the empty train yards to take a breather, Leigh was there confronting him on how no matter what happens with his music career he’ll always be there with him, but then they heard something, the sound of spray painting, they investigated and saw Jake and his crew, Sindri asked who they were and what they do for a living, and once Jake told them how they traveled the world, Sindri had a wonderful idea.. if Iceland didn’t appreciate his langspil skills maybe more of the world might. Leif came along too since Sindri and Leif are basically very close friends. (Sindri does write letters to his family about his antics across the world too.)

If Yutani is already prepared for aliens I think she would be prepared for an apocalypse too, mostly with inventions that keep other and herself safe, Tricky might be the bravest one recollecting the stuff for the gang, maybe Jake would distract or hit the zombies (either accidentally or intentionally) and Fresh would be really paranoid but always trying to keep up the gang anyways. That's just what I would think, I honestly don't know much about how roles in zombie stuff are-
