So before the separation update, whenever we used to select an outfit for the surfer, the outfit used to show up in the scrollbar pose as well even upon deselecting,we would directly pop onto the outfit of the character rather than the default, so before the update we could easily select the outfit and make them favourite.
Now even after we select the outfit and deselect the character,the outfit only shows up in the scrollbar pose, it doesn't stay when we select another surfer

I'm not a SYBO worker, so don't always take my words at face value, but it's my take that this game does not have any actual lore progression. It's just random things happening and random characters showing up for really no logical reason, like in older episodic cartoons. Meanwhile in SS City, there's a rhyme and reason to everything, there's a consistent story and setting, and every character has backstory that is related to their setting, it's a little more grounded in reality in comparison to this game.

in terms of powerups it depends on what you want while playing, i like ones with double jump and smooth drift the most because i play the game to tour maps, but if you care more about score then super speed + super jump/smooth drift boards are useful
