because there is 1 spot where I need to react in that split second, since it has two variants and in most cases I come as close to the train as bumping into it

which without board makes me go back to the mid lane too quick and I die after that second bump

No, you should play daily trials, city tour, anything that will allow you to get rewards, do not buy the super box it is not worth it and provide's way less value than just unlocking a character or board, since you are new and cobweb does not come back until next season, use naughty and nice along with grandmaster since classic is no longer avaiable, it will be harder for you to get sore but you will have to deal with it.

The board that is selected is the last board you used, so if you last used Grandmaster when you log back in Grandmaster will stay equipped. If you want to change the board that has to be done manually.
