Reverse 1999 is a very story focused game but i think it has a system for characters that would work well with SSC, where the more you use a character the more you increase your bond with them, and with certain bond levels/percentages, you unlock descriptions for some items they use/have, and you also unlock little tidbits, documents, fables, etc, that show you a bit about their backstory (the way its presented depends on the character and who they are)
Theres 3 in total for items and for story

how do you get enough character tokens for Yutani? I cant even get her past lvl 11 😭 I get tokens for almost everyone else but her

The surfer at the lowest lvl get's the most tokens, all my surfer's are in between lvl's 15 and 16 and have multiple of the same lvl so it's random but ive been doing this for over 8hrs.
