Fresh is recommended because of his skill to get you a hoverboard over time (and if you already have Jake at lvl 8 it becomes much better), plus more points when you're on a hoverboard. Tricky is recommended too because of her perk to get you a bubblegum shield and get more coins, which also works with her bubblegum perk. I believe however that at the moment it's hard to say who should be the 3rd extra character to focus on
