A way for commanders to dedicate high-value targets to FPS players. As in, set a bounty on someone's head.

  • it will cost resources to dedicate a target. 500 balt/700bio?

  • all players see the dedicated targets pinged on the map untill those are eliminated, or after a cerain time has passed. 5min?

  • if a player eliminates a dedicated target, they get extra points for the kill, and their health is immediately replenished.

  • the dedicated target, if FPS player, will get a notification that they have a bounty on their head.

As a commander you can sometimes see a strong enemy FPS player wreak havoc, snipe HQ's, and/or do other sneaky stuff. In these situations it's often hard to counter it with AI or communicate and coordinate with your team to do something about it.

It doesn't give the commander any superpower or OP benefit, it will help communication and coordination at a price. 500 balt / 700 bio.

Also I believe it would be fun for the players. Myself included 😄

This would be cool, if it caused the AI to prioritise that target. Otherwise I think it doesnt do much more than just pinging the person repeatedly wouldnt do just as much

Including AI on it would make it too complex. You can already just send AI units to a target, and in the future just make AI attack targets.

The problem is it's often a skilled FPS player outsmarting/outmanuevring and simply decimating AI, sniping high value targets from a sneaky or borderline range advantage positions.

constantly pinging said targets and asking people in VC or text chat if they are willing to do something about it is often ineffective.
I assume it's also not the intent of the game for a commander to go into units and fight fps players regularly.

A map ping and a reward will give players a reason to go find said targets ASAP, without consuming commander's time too much.

I get that, but it seems like it would be useful only in public lobbies and such. If I tried using this in a private server with only a handful of players, the price would be way too high for it to be worth it.
