I propose a strategic drop for the human and alien nation which could be used in case of emergency or other situations it would be in the form of a cargo plane which will drop infantry units up to the Tank and the large price will be 1.5 times more expensive than the base price with a waiting time of around 1 to 2 minutes if you take a more or less significant drop

Like, drop pods for infantry and/or "tank drop"? I'm not a fan of a hover tank dropping like that to be honest.
How about strategic infantry load out drop? Like, a pod that would allow infantry to switch class or pick up useful items?
Maybe for when consumable items get added, a strategic ability would be to airdrop some grenades, mines or c4 to your front-line infantry.
Kinda reminds me of astartes drop pods
dram did want com abilities so maybe
yes you have a reason
You sure? Didn't he mention strategic abilities such as the com being able to summon or grow a wall of bone/flesh for aliens?
He said he was ok with Com abilities in the QA
Yeah
So I mentioned I would not like a Hover tank to simply drop... BUT.... how about a single light quad? Scenario: A good player is on a solo mission, a sniper, or infantry with demolition gear, lost his transport and is in the middle of nowhere. Maybe a light quad can be summoned from the above?
It may be a niche case... maybe I would send a transport to pick him up or something. Just wanted to entertain the idea.
yes you are right plus it gives RP and it prevents people from killing themselves to come back and it can also help when troops have to flee from aliens
yea, but it would look weird to like if "BAM 2-3 light quads" get deployed. That's why I mentioned just one light quad. But is it worth it? for just one unit? It will be more common to see several infantry trying to extract from a situation or move out to a next target and one light quad won't cut it. Also, it might subtract from the land and air transport role.
It's too niche. Maybe later in the game when changing loadouts costs something then it may be worth it to do so for a commando but not really anything else
Although I do like the idea of dropping something that allows you to change your class
Early game, you get a bunch of scouts on a hill overlooking the enemy base and then you drop a pod and they all become heavies
Feels like it could be exploited but it feels fun
A "one-time use Light Quad delivery" item?
Equipment locker drop pods
And deliver 1 light transport, should be abilities of player infantry
I don't mind having vehicle transports, and that might be a good way that FPS players order their vehicles, you'll pay an extra premium if your in the field.
It sounds like a waste within the context of saving infantry, but within itself may not be bad
Transporting transport isn't really necessary since its already pretty quick to get them around but infantry transport makes more sense. Although that's pretty much already a thing with the new air update/transport vehicle
Deploying a light quad to save a single infantry is probably a waste.
Now with that said, I think there is another potential use. I know I LOVE sabotage missions and light quads are my vehicle of choice. I grab heavy or commando and race behind, around, and through enemy lines looking for shrimp or Cortex. Now, sometimes stuff happens and I will find myself stranded out there, especially if I teleport to assist someone else's sabotage. Getting a light vehicle out there fast would be great as I wouldn't be reduced to just walking back to base, waiting to get killed, hiding and hoping I'm not found, or suiciding in the hopes of making something happen. If I could get a light vehicle out there my mobility options increase and I can redeploy myself somewhere else behind enemy lines to keep the pressure on them.
I would also love to get the dropship some better capabilities. As it is right now, its not great at fighting and cant take that much damage. A dodge/boost mechanic like the hover tank would be great. I see potential in that vehicle because if you have a team of saboteurs stranded out in the desert 1 vehicle can swing by, pick them up, and redeploy them as needed.
