Adding in an entirely new resource to harvest and process to keep vehicles moving isn't worth putting any effort into at all.
I'd really prefer to not go the wargame route where my vehicles run out of gas after moving a whole 5 kilometers.

That would just be horrible.
That would make this game remarkably worse in every way.
Oil needs active tectonic plates to form. But why would they even search for it on an entirely alien planet is beyond me.
Logi can be done without additional resource restrictions, you can simply have it buff units or supply assault structures (smaller ones, like the engineer might have)
