Humanoid like aliens that can ride mountable aliens? Think something like the locust from gears of war? I’m not sure how it work it just seems like a thing that’s worth a thought.

Commander abilities to impact the battle some more.
Call in artillery from a ship or bombing runs. Something like halo wars in a way

jesus christ I hope he does NOT add hero units or commander abilities.
why have hero units it's just stupid imo and why have abilities. you have the ability to comand an entire army and you'll never be able to do it perfectly, we don't need that

i think keeping aliens to creature like aliens would be better, there will already be 2 human factions.

oh I completely forgot. please do not make human-like aliens
they are so lazy and booring. we want disgusting actual aliens why even have aliens if they're going to look like us
