i honestly think fps players should start as commandos instead of scouts and have the accuracy of their weapons buffed
and in turn i think player bugs should start as impalers as the crabs are super lame lol
also i think @thick siren should copy paste what she has mentioned about acquiring vics from command as i really like the suggestion they come up with

Personally, I would want a class system similar to BF, but idk how that would look for bugs
just seperate the FPS players from actual AI infantry, cuz they can do more conplex actions
i think bugs need more smaller combat units to spam that are cheaper
impalers in my mind are our commandos
well like have the AI units as the current classes, but have an actual class system for the players
but we also dont get a small unit for anti tank stuff other then crabs that we need like 20 of them per tank which at that point the cost efficiency is ass

you know like how in battlefield you have the assault, support, medic, and recon
something like that
well one thing we could do for bugs is make a custom unit thats like a nest praetorian guard or something that can either be tanky, fast, or ranged
ill leave the suggestions for infantry upto the people that play it more
these would be classes any fps player could spawn as once the barracks is installed,
that way its not at the very begining
instead of classes what about if they could make custom loadouts?

ah i thought you mean classes as in what we have already but you pre select them from spawn

so like recon could help the commander recon the map
the assault could squad up infantry with them
a medic to help heal fellow infantry
i think recon as a tool should get a personal short range teleporter or give it to the commando so they can actually move around quicker and safer
hell you could have a non combat class focused entirely on gathering resources
like a class focused on building and mining
and literally just helps the commander build the base and get resources
i think when you prospect a spot that spot should receive a buff to the amount you mine as well

engineer. maybe help with repairing vehicles too
well i was thinking that would be a seperate class
for the bugs you could look at some of the old avp games? the alien drones had different classes as well

i was thinking of something more along the lines of a smaller tyrranid swarm lord from 40k that could either focus on ranged, melee, support, or mobility
i was partially thinking about what if all the infantry was just players
and they increased the player count
cuz they have 32v32 in arena dont they?
i think the game performance would suffer if they did that
not to mention that would limit the humans in defense capability and make it so bug commanders can easily come up with a ratio to figure out how many of said things they need to counter the human infantry
we could do something like that tho if we did a mode like old bf4 commander mode? where the infantry is fighting and the commander is in charge of giving orders (suggestions basically) and providing off map support/ resupply
I would say that for other modes, not specifically the strategy mode
also then that would remove the RTS part of it tbh
there is a mode i think that is that but i came for the RTS mixed with FPS, not having ai infantry would be very annoying.

Everyone thinks so, however that could cause issues with the current servers. Dedicated servers with raised playercounts are planned to my knowledge.
I think it should slightly buff whatever unit an fps player controls in damage/health and have some sort of indicator that a human player is controlling it
You can tell when a human is controlling it because their names show over the unit
