#Need Help: Resume & GitHub Feedback

the spacing looks off in some of the texts but that probably doesn't matter
depends on the kinds of jobs you're applying to in the end? I guess probably junior frontend positions?
maybe the font too? idk if it is a good one?
@midnight estuary yes I apply mostly for junior roles
Can you guys please review the projects too.I would really appreciate. The live demo link is provided on resume
From my experience, interviewers usually donāt look at your projects before the first or even second interview. HR is typically the first to look at your resume and they don't know how to read code. Make sure your formatting is clean and professional. Fix the font and fix the format.
Appart from that, how many companies have you applied to so far? The market isnāt great right now, so you really need to apply to A LOT of companies just to get an interview.
I apply almost 5-6 companies a day.Is it enough ?
And Thanks alot for feedback I really appreciate it ā¤ļø
Since when?
From last 3-4 months
If that's accurate and you got 0 interviews then it's even more important to fix the formatting of you resume.
As Rob and Astra said, the space and font are weird and inconsistent. Use a more modern font. Start there.
Another thing you can do to increase you chance of getting an interview is to adapt your resume to the different job you're trying to get but it can be much more time consuming.
Thanks alot I really appreciate your feedback.I will definetly fix it asap
Another thing the the ordering of your experience. You need to have the most recent experience at the top, not the bottom. Same for your project. You should have a timeline similar to your job experience. For example, if you are still working on the chatting application, you should have a timeline (May 2020 - Present), or if you are done with it (May 2020 - May 2025), etc
Thanks for the feedback! Iāll update the order to show the most recent experience and projects at the top, and Iāll add proper timelines to each project. Appreciate the suggestion!
I would change the Technical Abilities header to Skills (I would personally put that at the bottom to as what is most important is your education and experience). But what is crucial is your formatting. Most, if not all, is off. You have spacing inconsistencies a lot (example: your Technical Abilities, Systems & Networking, you have no space between the items, but in Version Control, you do). A lot of white space between sections, etc
The font really hurts my eyes. This should definitely be changed to probably Arial.
Another tip for the content of your resume: when describing your work experience, begin each bullet point with action verbs such as developed, optimized, implemented, or led to clearly communicate your contributions. Focus on measurable impact whenever possible, quantify your results (ex. "Improved load time by 40%" or "Increased user retention by 25%", etc).
Certifications are useless in softwar engineering, so you probably could remove that
Thanks for pointing that out! I will change the header to āSkillsā and move it to the bottom as suggested
I understand that you have limited experience, so if you have space, I would keep Certifications.
Thanks so much to both of you for taking the time to review my resume. I really appreciate your detailed feedback and suggestionsāit's been super helpful! I'll be making the changes accordingly.
As you already have a job as a developer, I would add more content of what your current job is too.
Ok @limpid plinth Thanks for that I will make all the changes accordingly ā¤ļø
About you project just out of curiosity, why are you always writing this? What happen if I upload something bigger? Is it going to crash??? Maybe the app shouldn't let the user to it instead? You can't rely on the user not doing something hshs
Anyway, concentrate on the resumes.
Ok about that issue.I fixed that issue but forgot to update.Sorry š„²
That's fine I was just curious and if I was an interviewer looking at this is would be curious as well
You guys are really helping thanks again
