Do you think that a complex behaviour (of an entity) which makes player feel “insicure” and going in “paranoia” by “psychological” tricks is feasible to code?

I ask this because I posted a suggestion in the discord of an excellent “horror” game.

Here the suggestions I made:

first of all, pretty much anything is "feasible" to code

how hard it is to do that depends on your own expertise, the technology you use to build it, any extra requirements, etc

if you have no clue where to even begin in game development, watch some tutorial videos about the subject and familiarise yourself a bit with basic programming, before you go into bigger and more specific projects like this

for what its worth, it doesn't sound like the suggestion you're making should be that hard to implement in some way or another

There is some games that do that already

There is also this other game, that you enter a castle and as you go deeper into the sub-levels, your main character basically goes insane.

#

Basically, the goal of the game is to reach the maximum sub-levels by doing the right thing to avoid going insane early

Personally, I never understood why people enjoy those games but my colleague does 🤷‍♂️
