No.
You can always choose a role that you're comfortable with or just be a passenger in a shift, and spectate how your role is being done.
Sometimes people want to be a role but they get discouraged that they don't know what they are doing, and I support what you're saying but some people want to work not spectate.
I agree with it. That would help very much. Trainings are telling you just the basics and don't include every situations in shifts. Especially for things, like the safety briefing, there could be lines to copy. We had a shift guide before, so it shouldn't be a big deal. I agree that the Staffing department (formerly HRD) had more leadership members but if you want to have more staff members, which are experienced, we should give them the necessary information.
😄
I agree
Well you have to put alot of effort for communities, and if you don't it won't have hope.
I think that it is a great idea.
Shifts are meant to see how well you perform the role. If there was a guide, there is no point in getting promoted in shifts. It's more fun when you do what you think you should do for the role displaying your professionalism and role suitability. If there was a guide, the shifts would be shorter AND feel automatic in the sense that the fun is removed from the shift.
My "Too much effort" statement was vague.
Well, if they want to participate in shifts and increase their chance for promotion, then they should choose a role they are comfortable with or spectate like what @balmy oriole said
I believe this would be totally helpful for new staff, as sometimes in shifts some of them are assigned roles, as they ask the host to do so and they don't really know what to do.
i totally get why you would suggest this and it is a good idea. ill maybe suggest to add more information about your role in the shift in trainings. (whatever ur training for)
respectfully you probably shouldn’t say that, staffing may have different opinions
I talk it back as i didn't provide context
Shifts are fun for MRS and don''t feel what the LRs feel, they get sad feeling and get a feeling that this game is bad if they don't get the role they want. LRs act like they are okay but they are not happy with their role since they don't know what to do and it's quite boring.
Well MRs sometimes say "That role is not required" and the other roles are taken for example I wanted to be ATC in a shift but the host said "It's not needed" and all the other roles I felt comftorable with were gone. I disliked that shift. My point is that there roles that their comftorable with might be taken and it might discourage them to not feel like playing this game. And if that continues this game would go dead.
Remember, first come, first server.
And shifts should be fun, especially if you are an aspiring aviation enthusiast.
Well, who was the MR if I may ask?
I'm unsure.
Well people don't wanna waste their time waiting 10 minutes to begin. Shifts should be fun but it depends who you get as your Host and Co-Host because some make it more funner some don't.
Alright.
