hello guys, i have a amd 7900 GRE with 16GB VRAM
AMD ryzen 5 7600x
32gb ddr5 ram

like with my amd adrenaline software which shows me my fps, gpu, cpu and stuff like this, my entire setup is sleeping in the raids, its easy for my pc to run my graphic settings and overall settings in operator - but i still have bad FPS and FPS drops - that absolutely makes no sense....

someone else who have this problem? for me it sounds like a optimization problem - what you guys think? thank you

i have bad frames too with the 5060 in 1080p maybe optimization problem

rx6950xt, r7700x, 32gb ddr5, mostly high settings no upscaler. My fps is mostly fine sitting around 90-100fps in raid with 5-6 people. Might be an issue on your end

5060 laptop gpu, with an i7-14700HX, 16 gb of ram, and i can only get ~90 FPS on conneticut daytime, NODs can bring it down to ~60. though on any other missions its almost unplayable, especially on night. running the lowest settings btw, idk why but my laptop used to not be this horrible

Thermal throttling. Laptops can't jettison the heat fast enough so everything gets throttled. Laptop GPUs are also already limited and technically the previous year's class when it comes to real performance. So it may say "5060," but it performs more like a 4060 desktop GPU if you're lucky (sometimes lower).

The game is also just not optimized properly and that is the focus of the next patch (along with the player skeleton re-work). They will likely move to a newer version of Unity and work on LOD problems to boost FPS. At least I hope so.

If you're serious about gaming at all, you really do need to go the desktop route in the future, unfortunately. That, or a goofy "desktop replacement" laptop with gigantic fans (not recommended).

also i used to be able to run this game on almost max settings, with multiplayer at a steady fps, now i cant. i dont think there has been any updates except one hotfix since i got it

# worn mason i’m playing on max thermal settings, it’s a lenovo legion 5

It's still a power-efficient mobile chipset for both the CPU and GPU with lower VRAM and slower bus lanes for everything. Laptops are always 2-3 actual generations behind in terms of real-world performance to even mid-range desktops. You can't cheat physics. For example, my desktop case is the size of a fridge, has like 16 massive fans, is fed cool air, and I need all of that to be able to max my GPU's VRAM speeds without frying the card to gain an extra ~15-20FPS. Diminishing returns when it comes to heat throttling components.

But I agree that the performance post-hotfix has degraded. But they're aware and are focusing on performance for the next update. Hopefully we all see a massive boost (especially with Unity engine updates and newer DLSS models).

@opal ore @worn mason @silent birch You guys should definitely make sure that your nVidia settings (assuming everyone is using an nVidia chipset) are set to Maximum Performance when gaming (if you're on a laptop, I would be careful to not leave this cranked and to monitor your fans to see if the laptop is overheating when you're not gaming), but also, try running DLSS 4.5 (if you can) on Balanced/Performance/Ultra Performance with the CNN model.

The CNN model is outdated but gives you the best frame count. You'll have slight ghosting on reticles, and reticle shader brightness won't be as strong as the newer models, but it runs the best with this version of Unity and this game, it seems.

"Ultra Performance" is very low-res and I wouldn't use it unless you have to, but at least the game will be playable. Hopefully the next performance patch update solves a lot of this.

Hope this helps.
