Pretty much to prevent thumb clipping into the laser device, just have the thumb go on top if the finger is colliding if that is possible, like have a detection thing (or automatically make the thumb go on it)

I found one way to avoid clipping to to make sure my lower barrel attachment, like a vertical grip is moved in a place where my hand goes. In the case of the picture you shared it looks like if you moved you grip foward maybe one or two more spots your thumb will be in the correct spot.

yeah, i usually have it forward, i do do that but itd be cool to have a thumb going on a laser device, since this is supposed to be a secret service build (the specific build i did requires the NGAL to be right behind the folded irons) so yeah, but preciate the tips!
