I tried using imdb, tmdb, anilist, and myanimelist logs, and they all got stuck at ======== Missing Shows from Library: aabb ========, taking a long time before throwing an error. The same method worked fine when I switched to using movies.
My requirement is for Kometa to search for anime with specific rules through IMDB, Anilist, or MyAnilist, and then send them to Sonarr for download. Plex doesn't need to be just an empty shell, it doesn't need to be a poster wall.

Kometa is trying to connect to tvdb in order to identify the 8 missing shows, but that attempt fails outside anything Kometa can control:
