IMDb list error fixed, but some collections are not being created | Kometa | Page 1

Hoping someone can help me out here. I'm running the nightly build, and the IMDb list error has gone away. But for some reason, some of the collections are not being created.

Some of the collections that are not being created are the Star Wars and Star Trek Universe collections (these are the ones I am most concerned about). I'll add the logs in the comments.

I changed the collection minimum to 1, just to test this out. The logs indicate there are shows missing that I know are actually in my Plex library. I'm not sure if that is the problem, but Kometa is stating those shows do not exist.

These sorts of errors indicate that the thing can't be cross-referenced between sites. For example:

In the above scenario, the TMDB record for The Two Mrs. Grenvilles ID 15733 didn't contain a TVDB ID. This could be because the record just hasn't been updated, or because The Two Mrs. Grenvilles isn't listed on TVDB.

The fix is for someone like you, perhaps to go to the relevant site and fill in the missing data.

no, i mean if they are not matched in plex, meaning are they actually matched to a tvdb / tmdb entry.

they can have metadata and so forth, but if they aren't matched to an item that has a tmdb id and / or tvdb id, then kometa isn't going to pick them up

Kometa picks them all up for other things unrelated to these lists. They all have posters, overlays, etc.

Well, what's happening here:

Is that Kometa is looking at its cache of all the IDs of all the items in the library and it isn't finding anything with TVDB ID 73893.

Everything else looks fine, I see that those shows are showing up elsewhere, so they seem to be matching there.

I guess if this were happening to me the first thing I'd try would be to run that one collection with trace and log-requests enabled to see what gets sent and what comes back from IMDB.

They aren't all in one place because there is no collection yet (that's what I'm trying to create). So I'm not sure how to show them all together in one place.

Oh. No there are no episodes without being assigned to a show. Is there a specific view I can use to show you that?

It's actually (I think) a really organized server. Episodes all willy nilly without being assigned to a show, that would drive my OCD up the wall.

If you switch the source list back to the mdb list it used to be, does the issue persist? This would at least show if the issue is related to the IMDB.

Nope. 13 missing shows in the kometa log (most of which do exist in my library). I don't want to keep spamming the channel with logs, would it help for me to send this one as well?

Probably not worth going through the trouble if you don't already have the star wars shows in your library. Since the star trek one is working for you, but not for me. Must be something in my setup, just not sure what it is.

Also, again as before, the Star Trek collection runs fine in my movie libraries, and does find all the star trek movies in my movies library. So something is stopping it from working, only in the tv libraries.

Ok here's an interesting new clue. I tried the MCU collection in the TV library, and 4 of the TV series did get added. Even though there are 22 other series that did not get added (and kometa is claiming could not be found in my library).

So I have something to compare, a series that is recognized vs series that are not recognized. So the question is, what should I be looking for?

You can do whichever of those you want. Wait for the issue to be fixed in Kometa, or use a different list of your own creation or choice [which doesn't have episodes in it].

It is totally up to you which of those options works for your situation.
