I've had Kometa humming along for a few weeks (months?) now, with the only issues being 100% user error. But today while updating a library, Kometa started throwing some errors at me and I can't understand the log well enough to know whats going on.

kkometa | | Metadata: asset_directory updated Doubt from Minnesota Opera's poster to [File] /plexassets/theaterassets/Doubt - Opera/poster.png kometa | | Traceback (most recent call last): kometa | | File "/modules/plex.py", line 807, in _upload_image kometa | | item.uploadArt(filepath=image.location) kometa | | File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/plexapi/mixins.py", line 393, in uploadArt kometa | | self._server.query(key, method=self._server._session.post, data=data) kometa | | File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/plexapi/server.py", line 770, in query kometa | | raise BadRequest(message) kometa | | plexapi.exceptions.BadRequest: (500) internal_server_error; (redacted)/library/metadata/169395/arts <html><head><title>Internal Server Error</title></head><body><h1>500 Internal Server Error</h1></body></html>

Full logs attached from my last 3 runs. So Kometa or Plex doesn't like the poster? Its in the same asset folder and format as all the others. Is it something with the poster itself? Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

**Rec 04** - ❌ **IMAGE SIZE ERRORS**

IMAGE SIZE ERRORS
It seems that you are attempting to upload or apply artwork and it's greater than the maximum 10MB.
This usually means that you have internal server errors (500) as well in this log. Change the image to one that is less than 10MB. For more information on handling this, [https://www.google.com]
2 line(s) with IMAGE SIZE errors. Line number(s): 1004, 1018

One thing that can cause this is an image > 10Mb

the poster is 440kb, but the background is 15mb.

#

lemme get rid of that. .

#

yep. ran right through the library no errors once I changed the background.jpg to bigbackground.jpg

thanks for the quick reply and solution!
