for some reason my trakt playlists are being sorta alphabetically. using the default -trakt for collections in my config.

The default sort is "custom" which should reflect the order of how the things come back from Trakt.

These are clearly not in alpha order.
So if Plex is displaying something different that this, that's going to be inside Plex

Yah but Kometa creates these collections and theyre not smart collections so i cant configure the order of them in plex

My point is that Kometa is telling Plex to put things in a particular order, for example:

And Plex is not reporting any errors in doing so, so as far as Kometa can tell, everything has gone fine.
"Apartment 7A" is in the collection after "Smile 2", etc.
If Plex later decides to display them in some other order, there isn't anything Kometa ca do about that.

There isn't anything to do on Kometa's side. As far as Kometa can tell, there is nothing to fix.
You could try database maintenance on Plex.

So it's not on the Trakt side, not in Kometa. It's in Plex.
Trakt provides movies in some order
Kometa puts them in a collection in that order
Plex displays them in a different order.

But these collections are created by kometa. i dont have configuring options for them in plex. its just the deafault -trakt collection

This is not something you can configure in Plex.
There is apparently some problem inside Plex that is resulting in it displaying these things in the wrong order, even after it has been told to display them in some other order.
One thing that can cause something like this is when the same movies are in multiple collections with custom sort orders. HAve yo umade any changes along those lines recently?

This one's a little off because all the other ones also have custom sort orders, and Plex behaves badly when multuple collections put the same items in different custom orders.

It's not just Trakt. It's any multiple collections with custom orders.
The IMDB Top 250 shares movies with and is in a differnet order than Trakt recommended or Letterboxd Top 250 or whatever.
