I'm running Kometa (recently updated via 'git pull') on a Raspberry Pi 5 (updated pretty much daily) and all was well until last week. Every time I try to run Kometa it crashes out immediately with a 'Bus error'. Can't even run Kometa to debug. My SD card has plenty of space on it (boot partition 85% free, main partition over 25 Gb available). The Plex service is running fine, too.

Bus error

Tried the wiki, kometa-help / online searches, and AI to no avail. Hopefully someone here has a fix and something simple I've goobered up. Thank you!

A "bus error" in Docker typically indicates that a process running inside a container is trying to access memory that it shouldn't, causing a hardware fault

Thanks - I'm running a local install and hadn't run into that type of issue before. And only know enough about linux to be mildly dangerous, so memory access issues are new to me.

Kometa is the only program throwing this error, though. And was working fine as of the 5th. If nobody has seen this in particular here, I guess I'll try a clean install sometime soon.

It’s a memory issue. Not storage space, but memory issue

8gig doesn’t seem like much. Also depends on how much you have allocated

And not memory

If it were memory, i would imagine it wouldnt throw an error and would just die unexpected due to OOM killing it

Personally i wouldnt run kometa off the sd card. Id try to get some kind of external. Also kometa doesnt have to run on the same machine as plex either
