Hey!
Basically, I've noticed that imdb has scores for the episodes of season 5 of solar opposites and plex has scores but I'm not getting the overlay update. The logs say that the overlay does not need an update. Any clues?
Thanks!

Not sure, I can't reproduce it. If I use your config on a test library it works as expected.

based on that log, there are not any updates being made to solar opposites. so whatever updates happened on a previous run
Also, Kometa doesn't think that the overlay configuration has changed, so the overlays are not applied.
You might try a run with reapply_overlays: true to force Kometa to regenerate new overlays.
I'm not sure how you get into that situation where only one of the overlays is applied, but Kometa doesn't think the new ones need to be updated.
That is apparently what Kometa thinks, however, so maybe forcing new overlays will clear that.
could be a cache issue, and per last run may have not had a rating for those episodes. you could also try renaming your cache
I should have said this but this has been like this for a few runs
Like the first time the season came out and I downloaded it imdb didnt have scores
But now it does and this hasnt updatede
How long does the cache take to expire?
I know that reapply true will fix the issue, but as it has been mentioned here several times, I would like to avoid having that option in true always
I wasn't suggesting to set it to true always, just once for test purposes to see if that might clear whatever state Kometa has found itself in where it thinks those episodes already have ratings overlays applied to them.
No way to say since I can't reproduce it nor is there anything in the log that would explain why it's happening.
maybe the cache thing that it was being mentioned by Antwan?
Wouldn't hurt to try.
Have you [or a script] done anything with the images in Plex outside of Kometa?
nope
well, after renaming the cache and running everything again (which took more than 2 hours and 30 minutes) the scores appeared
what can I do? should I update the cache expiration time?
I would expect it to behave fine going forward. There is no way to tell you what you may need do since the scenario you describe should not have arisen in the first place.

This is not the first time this happens to me
You can check in the channel
That is why I’m concerned
right, but as carrot said this shouldn't have happened in the first place. options depend on what else may be going on. Could just be a simple cache issue, could be a plex issue, could be a db issue. But going forward this shouldn't happen
