Is there a scenario where resolution overlays and streaming overlays are placed before the rating overlays across all libraries?

Welcome @long narwhal!

Someone from <@&938443185347244033> will assist when they're available.

Including meta.log from the beginning is a huge help. Type !logs for more information.

After attaching your log, do not forget to hit the green check boxes when prompted by our bot.

✅ YAML validation passed!! That is valid YAML, but may not meet Kometa's requirements

I have no idea what that means.

long narwhal
#

Sorry haha let me rephrase

#

I am doing an overlays only run.

Within overlays, I have a couple things selected including:

  • ratings
  • streaming (Netflix, Hulu, etc.)
  • resolution

During the run, is it normal for all the resolution and streaming overlays to be applied to ALL libraries before ANY rating overlays are applied?

#

Essentially I want to know if I messed up the yaml somewhere and need to fix the config, or if I should wait.

I have a super big library and just an overlays run takes 2-3 days.

oak narwhal
#

No. Overlays get processed in the order they are in your config. However, they get “applied” all at once to each movie / show

#

If ratings aren’t being applied, then there is probably an issue and we’d need to see logs

long narwhal
#

Understood. In my config, ratings are the first variable within overlay files.

In this case, it seems like it is being missed.

#

Would an incomplete log show you what you need to see? I can try sending that

oak narwhal
#

Did you install the fonts

long narwhal
#

Yeah I have before

#

Its also worked fine previously but Im not sure what I might have changed by accident

oak narwhal
#

And part of the reason why your run is taking so long is using the kitchen sink bullmoose config

long narwhal
#

I was trying to trim down an existing config and reduce bloat

#

Hahaha yep

#

I am working on reducing it down

#

But have been commenting things out instead of straight up deleting in case I mess up somewhere

My most recent run is still going

📝 If you want to review this again, antwanchild:
:one: Right-click (or long press with phone) on the message that contains the log
:two: Select: Copy Message Link
:three: Use the command: /logscan <message_link> or !logscan <message_link> and paste the value copied from the previous step where you see <message_link> 📝

**Rec 03** - ❌ **OVERLAY FONT MISSING**

OVERLAY FONT MISSING
We detected that you are referencing a font that Kometa cannot find.
This can lead to overlays not being applied when a font is required.
In the Kometa discord thread, type !wiki for more information or follow this link: [https://kometa.wiki/en/latest/showcase/overlays/?h=font#example-2]
16 line(s) with Overlay Error: font: errors. Line number(s): 4948-4949, 5028-5029, 5108-5109, 5188-5189, 5268-5269, 5348-5349, 5428-5429, 5508-5509

Well the Luna bot tells you as do the logs, the font is not installed. So the ratings overlays are not applied for that reason

spring night
#

meta.log.1 was killed prematurely while processing which overlays go on which things.
meta.log.2 shows a failure due to a formatting problem in config.yml.

long narwhal
#

Does it show which fonts specifically? I believe I have everything installed

spring night
#

for example:

[2024-07-28 04:11:08,214] [overlays.py:598] [ERROR] | Overlay Error: font: /config/metadata/overlays/fonts/Adlib.ttf not found. Options: Comfortaa-SemiBold.ttf, Roboto-Medium.ttf, Comfortaa-Medium.ttf, Inter-Regular.ttf, Inter-Medium.ttf, Roboto-Regular.ttf, Inter-Black.ttf, Roboto-Black.ttf, Comfortaa-Regular.ttf, Roboto-Italic.ttf, Roboto-Light.ttf, Comfortaa-Bold.ttf, Roboto-ThinItalic.ttf, Roboto-BlackItalic.ttf, Roboto-LightItalic.ttf, Inter-SemiBold.ttf, Roboto-Bold.ttf, Inter-ExtraLight.ttf, Inter-Thin.ttf, Roboto-Thin.ttf, Inter-Light.ttf, Roboto-BoldItalic.ttf, Comfortaa-Light.ttf, Inter-Bold.ttf, Roboto-MediumItalic.ttf, Inter-ExtraBold.ttf |
#

Compare the path in your config with the path in that screenshot.

#
/config/metadata/overlays/fonts/Adlib.ttf

vs.

long narwhal
#

Ah I see understood

#

Silly mistake

#

Let me create the new directory

#

and place fonts under there

#

I also think its calling out some missing fonts that I never use. Which I think to @oak narwhal

#

's point, is because I have a lot of bloat in there

oak narwhal
#

No. It’s calling out the missing fonts for the overlays. It’s giving you options that it’s found.

long narwhal
#

Ohhh

#

I understand

#

Appreciate the help folks

#

Im sure this will resolve it

#

I moved my setup from laptop to desktop and missed creating that folder

#

that explains it all im sure

oak narwhal
#

But running all the overlays you are running is expensive and will take a lot of time

long narwhal
#

Yeah Ive been trying to comment out all the episode level builders

#

And only keep a couple things on overlay:

ratings
streaming
status
resolution

#

Also do you think the overlays are whats causing long runs vs all the collections?

spring night
#

The log will show you exactly where the time is going.

oak narwhal
#

and neither log file you've provided lasts longer than a few minutes

long narwhal
#

Understood, let me rock with this run and report back

#

Thanks both!

oak narwhal
#

if your fonts weren't installed and now they are, you might as well start the run over

long narwhal
#

Yep that's what I meant haha I restarted

#

Looking good now

oak narwhal
#

AND you are doing an overlays only run, so none of your ratings are getting updated within plex, in other words, the source for your ratings overlays @long narwhal

long narwhal
oak narwhal
long narwhal
#

understood. Let me try a full run now

#

Seems like the original font error is gone
