i dont have a log folder in my kometa folder
Did you create a config file?
could be that you 1) didn't create a config, 2) Kometa is waiting until it's default run time of 5am
inside the config folder is empty
Kometa requires a config file to tell it what to do.
Those files appear to be empty, named incorrectly, and in the wrong place.
what should it be nammed and where should it be located?
There are walkthroughs in the wiki that can take you through creating a config file.
named config.yml and it should be located in whatever folder you mapped into the container as /config
Overview of what goes in the config file:
https://kometa.wiki/en/nightly/config/overview/
Step-by-step walkthroughs:
https://kometa.wiki/en/nightly/kometa/install/local/
https://kometa.wiki/en/nightly/kometa/install/docker/
There is not a Synology-specific step-by-step walkthrough of that part because it's impractical to document the changing UIs of every NAS.
Conceptually you can doing the same things as the UNRaid walkthrough:
https://kometa.wiki/en/nightly/kometa/install/unraid/
So you can look for the corresponding stuff in Synology.
so instead of this volume being plank
it needs to be like this
it seems like i somehome overlooked this step
also im sorry for all the questions
i found my logs!
That's not the log. Or at least it's not the original log, as it's HTML.
Please provide the log file itself, not a web page containing the log.
It sort of looks like Kometa is waiting until 5AM to run, which is the default behavior.
i see a couble errors
Looks like /config/config.yml is a directory instead of the expected file.
so do i need to remove the . txt to make it a file
No, you need to create a file, not a directory. The name has nothing to do with what type of thing it is.
you think starting over and following unraid walkthrough would be a good idea i dont mind im normally a visual learner so
If you decide to Start over, then start over and follow the synology walkthrough
When you get to the end of the synology walkthrough, pick up the unraid walkthrough here:
https://kometa.wiki/en/latest/kometa/install/unraid/#setting-up-the-initial-config-file
