Hi! I'm struggling on hide again in Library those movies pertaining to a franchise collection. (I want to show only the franchise collection, i.e: "Alien collection - 4 movies")
Any hint?
(Note: With Plex collections build-in feature it worked but the movies appeared again when starting to generate collections by Kometa's "default:franchise")

Are those movies also in another collection which is set to "show items"?

true crag
#

no, all other collections I have are configured with collection_mode: hide

What is the visibility in the Alien collection set to?

true crag
#

you mean, this?

static galleon
#

No, the setting you show above for "CINE". What is that setting in the Alien collection?

true crag
#

ok, the collection comes from this config line, I guess

#

but it's possible that was generated with a different config. Should I remove the collections and regenerate all of them now again?

In the first image in this thread, you show a screenshot of the settings for some collection called "CINE".

I'm asking what the same screen for the "Alien" collection shows.

#

This setting

true crag
#

"CINE" is the library

static galleon
#

OK, fine.

#

What is that setting in the alien collection?

true crag
#

none

#

it generate all this collections automatically with this line of config
- default: franchise

static galleon
#

That setting can't be "none". It has to be one of these four values:

true crag
#

ah, in Plex! sorry

static galleon
#

I'm talking about the setting for that collection in Plex, not in your config file.

What other collections are those movies in?

true crag
#

for example the first one, it seems it's the only one

Well, ordinarily how this works is that if a given movie is in any one collection that is set to "show", that will override any number of "hide".

I suspect that these movies are in some collection that is set to "show items".

true crag
#

ok, now it came to my mind that I have a collection "by folder" that contains those movies

#

the config is the following
"Clássicos": plex_all: true filters: filepath: Pelis_Retro collection_order: added.desc sort_title: "!004!_classic" collection_mode: hide

#

and ok, the Plex config has this

#

now with what you've commented, it has sense that they appear

#

so, is there a way to say "hide all items that pertains a franchise collection?" (but not the case with other collections)

static galleon
#

No. This is a Plex thing. Any single "show" overrides any number of "hides".

😢

#

it's a pitty I just wanted to keep all these collections out of the library + at the same time show in the library only "collectionless movies"+franchise collections

#

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE CLARIFICATIONS! 👌

#

I'm just starting to use Kometa and I'm very happy. It's an amazing thing. Thank you guys to keep it rocking!
