I just discovered kometa and would like to try it out but I gave no idea how to install it, especially since my media server is on a NAS. is there a guide to show a noob how it's done?

There are guides for some specific NAS in the wiki, but conceptually you will just need to create a container and map a directory into it at /config. Kometa has no special requirements on that front.
