#Having a strange issue. Kometa ran overnight and removed 75% of my movies from my collections.

The movies are still accessible, I double checked that. The IMDB top 250 collection had 250 movies and now it has 29.
My only thought is I did a metadata refresh on the library yesterday because i was having some issues. I checked the run log and there is really no reason as to why the movies were removed. Any guidance here?

I'll post an announcement

@iron wadi your announcement mentions using the IMDb search option. Does that get the actual top 250, or just the highest 250 rated movies? I ask because if you do the top 1000 using that, the ordering can be very different than the top 250

iron wadi
#

The ordering is different because it's sorted by popularity

#

but I believe it is the IMDb Top 250 and that's how they advertise it in the search

muted vector
#

it's slightly different still

#

here 10th movie is The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

#

here it's 12th Fail

As per my message:

"The ordering is different because it's sorted by popularity"

#

I ordered by the rating

iron wadi
#

rating != ranking

#

It's not the exact same, but it's hopefully good enough for people to use in the meantime

#

IMDb advertise it as "IMDb Top 250" so that's on them really 😄

#

ah so the list might be the same, but the ordering could be very different

iron wadi
#

sorting both by A-Z/Alphabetical seems to return the same things

#

I spot checked 5 random numbers and they had the same films in the same positions

#

the actual IMDb Top 250 is not done purely by rating

#

These all have a rating of 8.6, and are not sorted alphabetically or by number of votes, so I don't know how they determine which one goes into which slot when the rating is the same

#

Unless the actual rating is stored like 8.695324323424 but just dispalyed as 8.6
