Hi team, noticed this recently after the brand changes that whenever I add posters to my recently added movies, but kometa is unable to find the poster image and in the log it gives this message "No poster found in assets folder" even though the poster name is correct and is in the assets folder.
I have attached my config file.
Config not need. Please provide log file. There was not an affect of the rebrand. Rebrand from pmm to kometa did not affect assets
Attached the meta log

The example movie posters issue are
- Murder on the orient express
- A Haunting in Venice
- Death on the Nile
what are your files named?
Death on the Nile (2022). The others are the same format
show me screenshot
i have the asset directory set at library level
where are these files saved?
Stored them separately.
Config/assets
Using docker and kept a separate folder in the config folder just for all the posters.
right so see if setting them at library level helps?
globally, i have asset directory as config/assets but then in my movies, i have config/assets/Movies as my asset directory
even if using the same directory, set it in the library level
and it could also be cached...
Are your movie files all in individual folders?
Not in individual folders. Just 1 asset folder for all posters, TV shows and movies.
To clarify, do you mean I should create a movies subfolder and set the location to this folder at library level?
Not the assets, the movie files themselves
Sorry. Read that as posters, my movies files are in separate folders.
OK, not that, but Kometa is unable to find an asset directory for some reason. "None" here should be a path.
[WARNING] | Asset Warning: No poster or background found in the assets folder 'None' |
Just double check config and have "asset_directory" and "prioritize_assets" in the settings section.
I even added "assets_for_all" in the **operations **section and still no change.
like i mentioned, trying setting the asset directory at the library level, even if just the same directory
OK. And since the movies have the overlay already applied, would best practice be to use the reapply_overlay option?
not needed
when it sees the asset, Kometa will use the new asset and apply the overlay
Amazing. Will set the asset_directory at library level and manually running kometa

Sorry for not replying. Long day. Lol.
I changed asset directory at library level to config/assets/Movies and it seems like only those 3 movies are not changing the posters.
I think I found the issue. Each of the poster file name has a space at the end of the name. Now I have removed the space and will see if the poster updates tomorrow
That would do it
Very silly it took forever to find it out. Will leave this thread open until tomorrow morning, and will most likely close it then.
