I'm trying to set a limit of 250 for genres using PMM default but not having much success as my collections are showing in the thousands for various genres. Is this the correct setting to use?

libraries:
  Movies:
    metadata_path:
      - pmm: genre
        template_variables:
          collection_section: "060"
          limit: 250
          exclude:
            - Animation
            - Anime
            - Awards Show

Welcome @noble tiger!

Someone from <@&938443185347244033> will assist when they're available.

Including the meta.log from the beginning is a huge help, type !logs for more information.

1: Go to your config folder

2: Go into the logs folder

3: Look for meta.log (not meta.1.log etc)

4: Drag it in the Discord thread - the whole thing, DO NOT EDIT IT

5: Still confused? ¯\(ツ)

Log file too big? USE PASTEBIN or ZIP THE FILE

Is this in the collection view? If so, how many things are actually in the collection when you click through to it? If 250 or less, then this is an instance of a long-standing Plex bug.

Well, don't I fee a bit silly now. Yes. this is in collections view and I never thought of actually clicking into the collection itself. The all show 250 as requested in the setting.

One follow-up question please -- can I use filter functionality for the PMM default genre? If I'm able to and run into problems I'll create a new support post. Thank you!

No; filtering is not supported in the default metadata files except as discussed on their individual wiki pages.
