#force collections to find the episodes?

Hi! I made custom trakt lists with anime and added them to pmm collections, want to generate text overlays. It seems to work fine for some shows but not bleach and one piece. I can see in the logs that the trakt list is scanned, but never gets to be added to the plex collection…

How do the lists get to plex in collections? Are files scanned for the names or is the scan directly in plex library? I ask because the files are in tvdb style (sonarr) but the list is tmdb (trakt)

Thanks!

Welcome @odd tangle!

Someone from <@&938443185347244033> will assist when they're available.

Including the meta.log from the beginning is a huge help, type !logs for more information.

#

Do you have a log showing this happening? I can't make out what the issue is from this description.

#

Generally, movies and shows are matched by TMDB ID. Episodes possibly by season and episode number underneath that, all as reported by Plex.

#

It's nothing to do with the filename, generally.

#

You can filter on the filename, but I don't think PMM ever uses the filename/path to match an item.

odd tangle
#

yes, I have the log

#

search for second let me delete the api keys :))

#

one piece and bleach in particular

sour dagger
#

Keys and stuff should already be redacted in the meta.log files

You have some items that I would resolve while waiting for more details on a potential fix. Can you start working on that first @odd tangle ?

odd tangle
#

yes, what should i change?

sour dagger
#

One easy fix is search for overlay_level: and replace with builder_level:

#

See how recommendation 09 tells you that?

odd tangle
#

yes, changit it now

#

changing it*

sour dagger

So there are other easy things in there that I can try to point out quickly

Rec01,Rec02,Rec05,Rec10

#

Those should help you

odd tangle
#

ok, i am checking them, thanks πŸ™‚

sour dagger
#

No problem

#

Are you able to use PMM on a machine with more ram? 4gb with overlays can be too little.

odd tangle
#

yes i can give it a little extra

#

i dont use anidb, sonarr and MAL integrations...

#

09 done, also givin some extra ram

sour dagger
#

Rerun when ready and then post meta.log

odd tangle
#

i created a new collection as separate file for test, for one piece fillers, collection is not being created

This probably needs the attention of someone who does a lot with anime. Based on the log I've looked at this is almost certainly some sort of matching issue, but I don't use anime and I know it's weird in this respect.

odd tangle
#

yeah I think so too.

sour dagger
#

I am not an anime person either. Underscore might have an idea. Even anonfawkes

#

And I think Arialz as well

spark thicket
#

I will take a look later today, but my first guess if it's work with most Animes and not OP, Bleach... Is because trakt use absolute order and plex use tmdb or tvdb season order.
Try change the order for the show with issue in plex to tvdb absolute and run again

odd tangle
#

it s set to tvdb, if I change to tmdb, i get no metadata because of the filenames in tvdb style. Trying now with tvdb absolute

#

name examples:
Bleach (2004) - S17E01 - 367 - The Blood Warfare [WEBDL-2160p][8bit][h264][AAC 2.0][JA]-Global
One Piece (1999) - S22E01 - 1086 - A New Emperor! Buggy the Star Clown! [HDTV-2160p][8bit][h265][AAC 2.0][JA]-GbR

#

with absolute:

#

unfortunately still missing that overlay 😦 because it never gets added to the collection

spark thicket
#

S17e1 is not absolute order should be something like ep 300+, I don't use it so I don't know if it can work without renaming everything, anyway trakt list is in absolute order so idk what we can do about it in pmm

odd tangle
#

😦 I am renaming one for test then...

#

if sonarr had also the option to use tmdb, my life would be easier :)))

spark thicket
#

Tmdb just use an other season order than tvdb...
but not absolute order, trakt just do it's own thing for long anime

#

Anime is a mess 😁

odd tangle
#

seems like it, and I am a masochist 😭

spark thicket
#

I don't know if pmm can "translate" from tvdb absolute order to tvdb season order maybe it could work

odd tangle
#

the other overlays work because it just scans plex directly for the resolution, for ex?

proper gust
#

it asks plex and in some cases looks at the file name.

#

"hey plex give me all the things with resolution 1080p"

odd tangle
#

setting absolute numbers also does not work 😐 ...but... 1 One Piece episode was wrongly scraped in plex and showed up as season 1 episode 20 and that one WORKED.

#

i disabled in sonarr the use seasons option, and set the anime naming to have only abs number, woithout Season/Episde, then let it move the files directly under the anime folder

#

trakt sees it still as season 1, instead of no season and I think that is the issue

grim epoch
spark thicket
#

so that the answer thanks πŸ™‚

odd tangle
#

for bleach I renamed like this:

Bleach (2004) {imdb-tt0434665}\Season 2\Bleach (2004) - Thousand-Year Blood War 2x12

Tried Season 2 - absolute numbers...no go

I am checking One Piece now. But clearly anime is a pita and I have to decide ease of use or some manual modifications outside of sonarr automations.

#

LE: abs numbers in Bleach thousand do not work just because somebody decided to add it as season 2 and start at 1

spark thicket
#

Yep trakt is not something I would use for Anime it doesn't follow tvdb or anidb order and do it's own thing so it have a lot missmatch

#

Beside redoing the list by hand with tvdb season order idk πŸ˜‚

odd tangle
#

or creating tvdb list instead of trakt..then I have sonarr tvdb - pmm tvdb list..must see how I get to their API

#

this is getting too cumbersome :)))

#

ok cannot add episodes to tvdb list so it is not helpful
