#How to restore metadata?

I'm sorry if it's a dumb question but I just can't get it to work.

So this my config:

  Music:
    operations:
      update_blank_track_titles: true
      metadata_backup:
        path: config/Music (Donators)_Metadata_Backup.yml
        sync_tags: true

And here is an example of an artist that has been backed up:

  Kiro Akiyama:
    sort_title: Kiro Akiyama
    albums:
      FIZZY POP SYNDROME:
        tracks:
          1:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          2:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          3:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          4:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          5:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          6:
            title: 夢の礫
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          7:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          8:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          9:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色
          10:
            original_artist: 秋山黄色

I run the operation with --operations --run-libraries "Music"
It ends and no metadata was restored.

How am i supposed to get the metadata restored? Like the original artist field?

Thank you!

I imagine you point to that file as a metadata file in the library.

Oh do I need to add metadata_path and point to the backup as well?

Yes, the operation just creates the file; if you want to consume it you need to point to it like any other metadata file.

Ohh that makes sense omg, i'm sorry for the dumb question.
Thank you so much for the help!
