Can Special Text Variables be used in Default PMM Overlays?

I'm trying to get letterboxd user ratings displayed on a 5-point scale. Is that possible using PMMs built-in default ratings overlay? Thanks!

Example:

- pmm: ratings
      template_variables:
        ...
        rating3: user
        rating3_image: letterboxd
        rating3_name: text(<<user_rating/>>)
