Including the meta.log from the beginning is a huge help use !logs for more information.
I would like to group my CUSTOM collections so that all the awards collections are first (oscars, emmy's), then studios (pixar, disney animation etc), then directors and so on.
Can anyone point me to (or provide) instructions? I am not using default collections...
Thanks!!!
But I have no template variables in my custom collections. What am I missing?
ahh
no defaults, sorry that i missed that
plex sorts everything alphabetically, but you can set sort titles for everything in order to move things around
you need to add sort_title to your collection builders
a sort_title: +_collection1 for example would put the collection at the top of the library
I see. Like, 1. Osacrs, 2. Emmys, 3. Pixar, 4. Disney Animations ???
This chart explains which order characters are sorted in
You can use any combination as long as you keep it consistent with the ASCII chart
+1_<<collection_name>> for Oscar's
+2_<<collection_name>> for Emmys
etc
++1 would sort above +1
!1 would sort above ++1
So pick your naming convention and stick to it is my suggestion
You mean:
sort_order: +1_Oscars
sort_title
ya
Got it! I'll try it... Thanks so much!

Thanks for using Plex Meta Manager.
I am trying to put a small icon-like custom image (.png) on some of my item posters.
overlays:
QuickStart:
overlay:
name: Lightning
vertical_align: top
horizontal_align: left
plex_search:
any:
duplicate: true
The file "Lightning.png" is located here: config/Lightning.png with these specs from mediainfo:
General
Complete name : Lightning.png
Format : PNG
Format/Info : Portable Network Graphic
File size : 110 KiB
Image
Format : PNG
Format/Info : Portable Network Graphic
Compression : Deflate
Width : 1 000 pixels
Height : 880 pixels
Color space : RGB
Bit depth : 8 bits
Compression mode : Lossless
Stream size : 110 KiB (100%)
I works except for one problem. The image covers the whole poster 100%. I intend for the image to be like 100 pixels x 300 pixels in the top left corner of each matching item poster.
I have searched the wiki and google for overlay size, dimensions, height, width all without success.
Can anyone tell me how to do this and/or point me to instructions?
Many thanks!
I tried to open a new post but it will not let me.
What’s the error message?
You have been a member of Discord since 2018 based on your profile, right?
if they have slowmode here, it might be better to talk to them in another channel
Anon, I don’t know how to turn off slow mode per user
But what I see is that it is OFF
for the channel yes, discord doesnt do slowmode per user
it would have to be a bot that triggered it
wait for yozura i suppose. he has access to the bots
Me too but I just don’t know where to look. I need some training. 😉
I recall that slow mode happens when you don’t follow some rules… like no labels, or something like that in the channel.
As for why he cannot open other PMM-help threads, without some kind of error, hard to do anything
Using the construction you are for that overlay, your Lightning.png should be 1000x1500, with the image in the corner where you want it and the rest of the image transparent.
