#Ironclad Chads
1 messages Ā· Page 2 of 1
Yeah... Seems outside the norm
can we tie down some cargo to those rails above the bridge?
the mpuv pad idea from someone was pretty good
maybe secondary controls for certain aspects of the ship
like a door button or remote turret access
Tractor turret access seems likely! In one of their graybox shots from that bridge, you could see the external tractor beam turrets mounted outside the hangar doors.
Maybe like the Cat's starboard engineering station which controls that side's tractor beam.
its most likely gonna be repair station control
beams and stations control
is there a Q&A or not yet?
someone uploaded this pic. hopefully the vulture does fit inside
was lookin at the measurements of the height of the vulture. its 9 meters while the height of the ironclad is 20m. hopefully that the cargo bay of the ironclad is taller than 9 meters
easily will
at least 2 prospectors should fit too
possibly 3
Not my OC but helpful image
Nice referral code in that picture
I didn't even notice the author put that there. One sec

Don't ban me bro
There's another image I saw that had 3 prospectors laid down side by side, facing to port or starboard of the ironclad.
Is the SCL out yet thought it was supposed to be like 2 hrs ago?
WHy would you post about SCL in here though?
Just watch the recap from Noobifier
It wasn't that special after all
I thought it was going to be about concept ships hoping for some ironclad info.

No concepts at all
They ''made'' a concept live on stream, which they won't make for real

Rip it was litterly titled "concept ships" in news section. Big sad.
Tbf that's as real as our ironclad is right now
bro instead of this bs scl why can we not have the qa
will a polaris be able to one shot the ironclad?
One salvo of 4 torps, yes
ironchad buster
Nothing can one shot the ironclad, it's too beefy.
Easily.

I really recommend watching this
It has some very interesting info and speculations
The white small one is from the Cat
They are not the same
As some of you might already know, I make SC ship wallpapers
And today it's Ironclad time!
Portrait
4k
3440x1440p
5120x1440p
Different resolutions, and both variants
Enjoy
Those are incredible, thank you

Exquisite wallpapers

We have over 10 votes for Jav club now!
Ok, exactly 10 but it still counts.
Brother, why the fuck do you keep pestering me with that?
I DO NOT MAKE THE CLUBS
The next time you talk about the jav in the ironclad clubhouse I'll just start muting
š
Get that non Drake vibe outta here. No Escape pods allowed.
Whenās the Q&A? Does the roof on the Assault open?
CIG being CIG, Q&A nowhere to be found
Unless they release a non Vulture small or medium salvage ship soon, I might have to buy one.
I realized I will need CM to build a base.
Wonāt Iā¦?
It's a good guess but
ironclad isn't a salvage ship at all
But the Assault has mod stations right?
mod stations?
To modify vehicles inside of it?
Hopefully build and destroy smaller ships and vehicles inside of it.
Itll probably be something super niche like printing fuses and other stuff for repair & probably ground vehicle sized components
Im sure only a small number of people will actually use the component fabricator unless its OP and is just a component printing machine for all comps lol
So then I should buy a normal ironclad and not assault?
Just depends what your use is for it im getting the assault bc u get more guns and only bc of that
Itās either C2 or Ironclad for cargo⦠unless I choose to stick with C1 Spirit and Zeus CL.
Ironclad smokes C2 in pure cargo hauling
Top opens up + you get tractor beams that aim right into the cargo hold they shouldnt be jank shit like the rest
But C2 has less crew requirements. What does Ironclad require again?
My brother in christ you plan to solo + AI a jav and youre worried about crew requirements
My jav will have crew. My Ironclad will just be fetching more cargo for my base.
I still say ironclad but i like drake
Ironclad compliments the Kraken which is why i like it
Whatās the largest ship that fits into a Javs hangar.
Vanguard iirc
So no CL or C1?
Ironclad āhangerā is likely the same size if not smaller
So an Ironclad could fit into a Jav
So close....
Maybe
Very close again...
?

I think it has the same hangar as a certain RSI and MISC ship
Which?
But we're still here for Drake
That's what I'm saying!! Wait I better check the channels first. Last time you got me.
I don't know why everyone is so curious what ships will fit in cargo hold of ironclad. With all the cargo I'm loading in there i wont have room for a ship as well.
But I'm still on board w an mpuv being able to dock on roof of control bridge.
maximum hangar dimensions being 40 x 21 x 7.5m

Okay okay
Some decent info
Unexpected but a welcome surprise nonetheless
It was a make or break for many of us
Not for me tbh
Finally a good Q&A from CIG

Saved $265 on the Assault
Rerouted my Arrastra chain
I hate mining anyway
Saved $205 on the base already as well
Already out!
It's described as manufacturing and doesn't mention being able to mod parts. I'm expecting small components manufacturer only.
Vehicle coolers and shit
So it could act a a garage on my base.
Mmmm ironchad assault
well well
so the command module can be reattached
lol ironclad is the only ship, which can not be robbed, after you flee with your CM the criminals can only blow up your coold clad, but not claim it to drive it away hehe
they're not answering the when again
if it was anywhere in the next few years they probably would talk on it
real
I wonder if a rogue command module could hook up and take the base chassis away
Or hot swapped when one gets full. Have someone bring an empty one, then both detach and switch so they can go sell while you keep filling from a wrecked hull e or something
lol interesting thoutghs out there... ;-7
they dont need to drive it away just open the roof and load cargo into one of their ships
the only way to prevent this would be set the main hull self destruct on then get in command module and fly away
since there is a seperate self destruct for command module
but even then most of the cargo will probably survive
Was hoping for a prowler warbond ccu from alien week to add to my chain for a regular ironclad. I continue to wait

I see more people using the [DICM] tag
I hope the quantum fuel on the ironclad will be better than the cat when using a TS-2. If not I might have to swap to like the Pontes
the back looks literally like that one leaked picture couple months ago now that i look at it
kek
With 4.0
With my personal hangar
Imagine the cry babies if that happened lol "where's my BMM, Orion, and my endeavor.
I still want all of those but i like most any new ship
As long as it fits my needs
I didn't know we got a whole room to ourselves!
That's nice, and on the top deck too!
With a massive window
I'm liking this more and more
Ironclad is becoming more
the more time goes on
Ima put so much stolen sub shit in here

I'm really hoping they ditch the secure storage area inlue of a medical bay.
Awful take just bring a nursa
Why be forced to bring additional ships. I want all the space for cargo. When every ship in every military currently afloat has some form of medical in it. It's just common sense. There is plenty of room on that ship for medical.
Why cram a med bay in every fucking ship? Why take away a secure hold that actually makes sense on a ship this is made with the thought that it can and will be boarded? Why have a desire to change random things on a ship just because you have an awful opinion. How about we just let the people that get paid to make the ships make them and the ones who donāt get paid ie me and you just play the game.
Makes sense what sense is secure storage lol. You either going to die on your or your ships going to get blown up haha. Secure storage is a dumb idea. No game play loops even make sense w that. Carry little boxes and put them in a complete other area. Hahaha
And you clearly want to say put another ship in there. Hahaha so how is having medical dumb troll harder
Does secure storage show up when others scan your ship?
Because if not I imagine the following scenario: You load up a bunch of worthless cargo and store the valuable loot in secure storage.
Or smuggling purposes
Even if it doesn't its not going to be of any size. Looks like the rooms would fit like a delivery mission size package. Maybe a 1scu bit not going to be throwing 8 scu weevil eggs box in there
To me it looks more like a brig. Which could be cool on the assault modle. Because its more frontline than a cargo hauler.
A medical bay would certainly make sense on the Assault
But the base version....makes more sense to have secure storage
Yeah but let's play this out. You have secure storage. And get pirated they just going to hard death the ship if you can't open secure storage. Not like we going to be like ohh I'll just leave the high valuable it there for you to return to.
I expect them to have more plans to utilise secure storage spaces
we just haven't heard them yet
Only way it would be worth is if you recieved that back upon respawning ship. But then that in its self would be op af. I mean hiding your cargon when getting scanned is also pointless just jump away from the npc.
or player
Who could've brought a Scorpius Antares
Have they ever elaborated on what they want to do with secure storage rooms?
Yeah but coming from a big pirate org. Like I said if we can't access it we blow it to smithereens than that secure storage isn't worth anything, just floating boxes in space. Same as reclaimers.
You do that now
Yep
With engineering, armor etc still coming things might change
You might actually want to acquire more intel before you engage in a fight etc
Not engaging in fights. But everyone here is so sensitive all the time lol. You say one thing and everyone want to pipe back that things are awful ideas.
Lol
All I said was swap secure for medical.
Than you all decided to jump in. Could have remained silent.
I'd like more options than just slapping a medical bay on every room
Name one ship in any navy that doesn't have means to treat the crew.
Submarine
Has medical.
It still has medical depending on if it's a ssn or ssbn but they both have medical.
Yes
So what tier medical room would you like on the Ironclad?
Perseus doesn't get medical, so Ironclad sure as hell doesn't get it š
They do in the event of an emergency on an ssn the ward room is converted to an er.
Persons should have one as well
Not every ship needs a medbed, that is just ridiculous
Yes they do.
That is just lazy gamers talk
How you figure.
Not trying to make this a full time job. Just wanna game w the homies for a few hrs. Not spend all my time travelling from a to b or getting kitted over and over at stations. Cause I was magically forced into a ship wall and have to kill my self. Or a cargo box hits you cause it doesn't stay on grid properly. Or you get disconnected and forced back to home base 8 jumps aways.
Hardly a skill issue. When game puts you in a wall.
Yeah so you want a medbed in every ship for something that shouldn't happen after 1.0 drops?
How is 1.0 going to fix that lol. You all thing server messing is going to fix everything rofl.
That's not a lag issue that's a model issue.
The copium is high in this discord.
Of course it's high here
i want the ironc;lad before the polaris!!!111!!! make them wait longer
No!
not trying to make this a full time aint an excuse
just git gud
its a game thats grindy and takes time, if you aint got time to play it dont play it
well med bed on every ship wouldnt take away from the game since Death of a Spaceman will slowly kill your character every time you respawn so you actually DONT want to respawn but be revived instead.
that being said I personally dont think every ship needs a med bed but some of the larger ships that will operate alone for extended periods of time should have med beds even if they are not respawn ones
Very soon people will see that large ships will barely function without a crew pushing people into orgs and making us scam our friends into getting crew
I'm just gonna fill my ironclad up with nursa and run a rachet hospital in the sky
If youāre gonna do that do as many nursas as you can and get rid of the wheels as thatās wasted space
Plus each one has its own turret. I'm super protected.
tfw CIG realizes they dont need to spend money on advertising if they release more multicrew ships and make the players become the advertisers
The most motivated advertisers as our ships will be next to defenseless without crew
Iām gonna home alone rig all my ships and wait for someone to board
Ironchads
Name kinda sus
How come
You got hacked I think and someone switched the ironclad to #2 in your name. Super sus
Nuh uh perseus is number 1
In this channel it isn't
Perseus wonāt be out for another 10 years
earliest 10 years š
It will be out before the Irondaddy
No
Wanna make this interesting?
Go on
Just a offer to gamble, depending on which comes out first and if anyone remembers the bet in 3 years
Then I want to remind you that RMT is not allowed on this server before this gets out of hand š
I bet one of Rubenās kidneys
I bet idontsellmeths's schrodinger's cat of a soul

i need my ironclad
Same
cube
Think we will get a cargo elevator on the ends of our hangars eventually? Think it will be a bit of a process to land this big boy and empty it as is
I heard a rumor that you will be able to move them to wherever you want

It's not a rumor it's Jared saying "one day" on star citizen live
IRONCLAD 2025!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're so back
we've never gone
ill believe it when i see it
Legionaire 2024 too oh wait
MERCHANTMAN 2025 /S š¤£š¤£š¤£
The number of people seething about all these ships coming out before their bmm š
Huh??
I donāt even care anymore, the shop tech for player shops gives me hope
Well looks like yāall need to revisit this bet lmao speaking both are in the queue
I stand by what I said earlier.
the real trick is to hedge bets
Does anyone know if the ironclad will be available for purchase during iae
It will be available when Drake hits the show floor on Nov 28-29.
Kk thank you was looking at the iae info channel and it wasn't listed so I kinda got worried
Np. Yeah the info channel only lists BiS ships and stock limited ships such as the Kraken and Pioneer etc. Ironclad isn't stock limited and listing all the ships available during IAE would result in a very long list.
i hope we see the ironclad sooner then later would be fun to move cargo in the ironchads
make the C2 look like shit lol
I heard somewhere that the ironclad will be flyable by iae 2955
I was doing some mucking about in fleetview the other day and I'm more hype now than I was, realised just how much non grid space the thing has...
I thinks that should be about right based on;
https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1dqv41l/ironclad_interior_shots_from_jumppoint/
Wish we could get a ship name token for it
IMO name token should be an upgrade to any ship
Phat R Pillar your docking request has been accepted
hey cuties do we know the actual armaments for the ironclad assualt thinking of picking it up
The Drake Ironclad Assault is a versatile combined-arms platform which excels in transporting heavy vehicles and infantry squads, complemented by formidable auxiliary turrets for direct combat support. Furthermore, equipped with a comprehensive garage facility capable of refueling, rearming, and manufacturing new components for ground vehicles, ...
The info there is based on the Comm Link announcing it, but I haven't heard of anything changing those details since then
You're asking the Drake Ironclad Cult Members if we think it's worth it? š
Hell yeah
Wooo ironclad is in production
Just the base or both
Never said I'm assuming the base
During ep 3 o e of the questions was tell us something your not supposed to and he answer ironclad is in production
Is the plural of Ironclad Ironclad, or Ironclad? One ironclad, 5 ironclad, sounds right.
Ironclads.
Autocorrect put it at Ironclad twice vice ironclads. The Ai has spoken.
well the assault has vehicle repair which doesnt currently exist on any ship atm
so they would need to make that system to release assault
Well they need to make it soon then
I think that'll come with crafting or ship ammo pools, since presumably they want you to use mats rather than money for those style repair bays
Pioneer, Polaris, Kraken, Kraken Privateer, Vulcan, Crucible. Probably Javelin and Idris as well.
Here's mine
Im still not sure if I should go with the Assult or Standard
Assault is really only usable with crew. At least Standard can be easily soloed (no combat).
because my predicament is the following
I can get the Ironclad base and a Starlancer TAC
or the ironclad assault with an Starlancer MAX
I'm going TAC+standard.
the Tac will fit on my fleet like a glove but I like the idea of the Assault
oh well, I can always keep the CCU on my hangar
Greatest ship ever
Why not assault + TAC ?
While an excellent combo for hostile ground force deployment and beach head establishment, not a good combo for a single citizens fleet. Too much overlap
Is there really any good surface to air combat anyway
Hire ai blades to man the base variant to loot cargo in space
I think surface-air defence will become a lot more relevant with bases, but atm outside of organised org action, no
hello fellow ironcladsmen, happy to be here
Anyone done math to see if a terrapin fits in site?
I think it might
Measure the terrapin against some 32's to see
it should. height is the issue and terrapin should clear by 1.5 meters.
any estimates on release? i am quite thrilled at the idea of a carrier platform for small vehicles and tiny ships
maybe ilw next year
since it's in production
Earliest possible would be IAE 2955.
why do you say that
(i haven't even bothered to check dev tracker yet - i should do that)
Experience.
nobody can really say. It started production in summer. maybe they can knock it out in 9-12 months.
yea well, lotsa experienced folks said no polaris or pyro before 2024 ends yet here we are
experience isn't a good argument, it could be 2955, but the reason i doubt it is not experience but the concept stuff that's military
aka percy and guardian
they would release those at ilw
You sound like I sound jaded, but I had the same thoughts as you. Just too lazy to type it out I guess
Like sure defensecon is when it was announced, but that's not on brand. I expect the drakish what the heck with wings are defensecon this year.
well, experience doesn't sum up what i said, hence why i sound like you sound jaded
clad
Ironclad Assault is military
yeah
Standard non military is what Iām thinking,
isn't drake stuff usually classed as militia
not all of it
From flavor text should be able to fit a 400i in the cargo but from the view point of the cargo version there is a beam that may get in the way
So what are chances we will see Ironclad this IAE?
50/50
Depends on how much time they need to get it done, and on how hard they work
It's a big ship, but the whole center is empty
It does bring some interesting things like the beams on rails
Although they are not on my 'peacekeeping' variant
Detachable command module will probably also bring escape pods to fruition so may take a bit of work

thats not entirely true
detachable command module is essentially turning the command module into a snub ship that while connect controls the main ship and when disconnect it only controls itself.
doesnt really interact with escape pods or relate to them
the mechanism is pretty much the same as a merlin or whatever that is on an andromeda
they'll just code it in like that
that still doesn't make it a fighter
wont have it on launch
calling it rn
defensecon you mean, wonder if they'll have it ready by then
yes
apparently ironclad also uses shared assets like the percy
so it is possible i think
With what?
?? with other drake ships ?? namely the caterpillar
Oh... gross.
lol
You can see in the deckplan where they intend to reuse stuff, at least at greybox. Stairs, messhall, cabins, catwalks, consoles and i presume presume turrets all look like from the corsair/catapillar
the command module is almost 1 to 1 with the cat's command module. just a tad bigger, otherwise identical
Man ironclad should have wider cargo ramp so its easier to load/unload 32SCU containers
the roof opens and you can tractor beam from inside to outside using remote tractor beam turrets
on the base at least
you should only be loading it with the rail tractor beams not using the front
but the assualt variant doesn't get the rail tractor right?
this works in zero g/space, but if you are in hangar you will be loading it via cargo ramp
no it doesnt
if the tractor beam can see the ground i can assure you everyone will be using the tractor rails and not the cargo ramp
Loading via the ramp, unload by tossing over the roof
I think if you arrange the container long ways to match the ship the ramp is more than big enough
for first few moments then you will learn it
i just hope people wont cry if its slow in atmo
It's not that bad from a deckplan pov, it just looks like it from an angle
yeah
so many stairs
atleast its not doors...crusader industries likes doors and its horrific
Anyway is there any evidence Ironclad will release this year?
there is yes
CIG during last years IAE showcased the silhousette of the ship for 2025 release same with the pioneer and others

That is a mistake that chart shows ships that will release or start being worked on in next 12 months.
if thats a mistake then the perseus wont be coming out š¤£š¤£
you do realize that the ironclad, pioneer and others are out of greybox and whitebox right?
ironclad was in greybox when they showcased in 2024 ILW
Pioneer is 2026 ship at earliest
yeah sure
but the ships are out of grey and whitebox
so time is showing we should have the ironclad this year
I just find it od CIG doesnt tease Ironclad at all
perseus was also on the list CIG said for ships out of greybox and whitebox meaning its a matter of time...I think its because RSI has been their focus and other ship companies arent their biggest hit
the fortune kinda slapped us with a surprise so im sure drake is trying to steal a spotlight off RSI during ILW
So if we are lucky we will get non flyable Ironclad on Drake showfloor at ILW
I bet it will be flyable but i dont think we will see the assault version till 2026
you know how we are still waiting on that starlancer tac?
kinda thinking a similar case will happen with ironclad where we are given the base model but the other variant is a later date
I find it od CIG doesnt sneakpeak ironclad if they plan on releasing it at Drakecon
me too but im optimistic seeing as its not that much of a ship to build, its a giant box with copy pasta
the detachable mini ship is for sure a copy pasta from the caterpillar
what would be interesting to see is both perseus and ironclad released at the same time but weeks apart
so perseus for ILW and Ironclad for drake defensecon giving both a spotlight helping boost sales to get through summer
Fortuna coming up also has me curious because thats another ship sale on march 14th timeframe
not saying your wrong there is not much to go off of in regards to knowing it will release for Defensecon but its a good assumption based on evidence
and we could all be wrong and see ironclad at IAE 2025 š¤£
More likely if you ask me
yeah your probably right i just got that high hope mentality even though ive been let down before
We migh get clue if next monthly report mentions how far along IC is done
havent they pushed that back a lot? or am i dreaming? I feel like that report is way overdue
oh wait you said next month
whoops
all i know is i need to purchase a perseus
And besides tomorrow is roadmap update so we might get a clue there
ah see thats the one i was thinking of
I wonder what sorta things are in the piepline or being worked on
my guess would be that thed wait tiƶ the servers are up and running for ILW
Since it likely has a free fly
They ended up cancelling the Red festival free fly due to server issues
My guess would be that they are making the servers more optimised so the "laggy server during free fly" is gone
they wont ship teams do ships not fix code/servers so they will continue doing ships
i meant they will release ships again if the servers are good again
so what we thinking now? the progress tracker didnt give any sign of ship work so maybe both perseus and ironclad are on that back burner
Perseus has high chance coming out during ILW
I'd say the ironclad releases with the Perseus and a mystery ship
Or the apollo
Might buy one of these. Can't decide.
the perseus i need to buy as well
just wait for monthly report
Great taste, it's my big ship pairing too
yeah i love my polaris but im trying to get rid of it offsite because i just dont use it enough and i need the money
took a huge financial hit going too hard buying new things and i also need to refine my fleet haha
perseus for sure is on the list tho
guys what
for a moment i thought the sneak peek was the ironclad jesus christ
i got hyped for a sec
It might be the ironclad but its a high doubt i think the sneak peak is something way bigger
but we shouldnt see anything kraken related till next year seeing as ironclad is needed to help with systems
it might still be an ironclad sneak peak because the image is kinda blown up and not to scale
I love the way that the ironclad is basically a mechanic test for the kraken
lol right
its like if the ironclad isnt working out then we can scrap the kraken idea
and in order to make any real progress on the kraken the ironclad has to release
i feel like ironclad is right around the corner but drake is keeping their mouth shut haha
Probably for Drake DefCon
The sneak peek is from the Hathor mining station LMAO š¤£
naw dont do me like that
jk jk
let me have some sort of faith drake will give me ironclad soon
I want it as bad as you, but it's not getting here before at least ILW
I did the thing
HE DID THE THING
i will get my Ironclad from BB when its ingame.
Anyways i think IC gonna be kinda limited in PU atm
the ship itself or its users?
i could think of 5 uses id us in ptu currently and all of which include cargo operations XD
specifically this supply or die event wouldve been a solid option
Yes
Especially with the 2500 detatrine
Only 2 ships are viable for that mission
C2 with 696scu and hull c with 4k scu
But hull c is only spacefaring
Not atmospheric
ship herself. outside the events/special missions Ironclad will be doing Hull C missions since it has so much cargo space
^
i assume it will be this drake defense con, because when we saw it for the first time it was already in whitebox
And we saw it on Friday as well
So, Perseus AND Ironclad in the same month?
That is wild
i could for sure see that happening
big releases to punch a hole in the new year train
wdym on friday?
Don't forget to upvote

It's totally not my post
Gimme enhanced too
so Ironclad for Drakecon is getting more possible?
yup
Still i find it odd that CIG didnt do get it before price increase sale if it will release it at Drakecon
didnt do get it
also its weird they did an ironclad sale at the last chance sale thingi
Got mine in BB but will wait and see if it becomes BMMs loaner before melting BMM for it
not really
if the ironclad is really dropping that means its getting a price increase so maybe they had it for sale on the last chance thing to give people 1 final chance to get it at the lower price
My point
perhaps we will get non flyable Ironclad on Drakecon showfloor and get it before price increase sale
maaaybe fortuna release?
im being way too hopeful about it but hey
without hope there is nothing
No
We already know what's coming for Fortuna
And it is nothing like the Ironclad
Also...

so what is speculated release price of Ironclad 500USD?
your guess is as good as anyone
if they tell you it'll 100% be a certain price without source from cig they're lying
and even if there's source from cig there's a not small chance it will go up more
imo it's at least 525 for ironclad 600 for assault
more than c2 less than hull c
Iron Bae how I need you
for real its time to show the real beauty the ironclad
literally crying everytime i see it
drake if your reading this please give us ironclad we are ready
Need to melt my 3 C2's so hes hurry!
love the mule pngs
Anyone else hopeful for an ironclad ILW surprise?
Me!
Low in faith
But i want it so bad
Been searching far and wide for hints of it but I feel like white/grey box being completed in November/December isn't a good sign šš
And nothing in the march report
The April report will probably be pretty telling
praying for defence con
i have a good feeling for the Ironclad at DefCon
they have multiple vehicles nearly done
not really i find it to soon
Anvil Asgard and mystery mini corsair at ILW, Ironclad and Perseus IAE.
thinking pioneer on IAE š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ Jk jk pioneer IAE 2027
Ya I'm betting on mini Corsair too
Also I feel like starlancer tac is gonna be 100% at ilw
anyone think the crew size is a lil small
no
1 is perfectly fine if you're moving legal stuff
in a safe place
No its a cargo ship so you can solo it if you are willing to risk it
I'd fly mostly solo
Maybe use a new players as a cargo slave
always use noobs for cargo slave work and pay them 50K per trip so its keeping them staying XD
I don't think the Ironclads tractor beams are gong to move because the Polarises Tractor Beams are also on Rails.
There is also the tractor beam arm
Whatchu mean?
its hovering over in the first image
second one the hanger door is clear of them
so i would imagine you will move it like c1, two positions
Well why canāt the Polaris do it??
"the polaris tractor beam is stupid so the ironclad tractor beam will also be stupid" ahh logic
because polaris isn't a dedicated cargo platform?
Fuck Polaris, gib cargo brick!
nah Tractor beam on polaris makes sense for reloading S10 torps
it's in the other side of the ship for that to make sense chief
its inside cargo bay and can reach Torpedo magazines
with a lot of pain yes
Very epic
Ironbrick
I really wanna apply that reclaimer>prowler>ironclad cuu
I'm tired of the Extra large hangar
YES YES YES YES
Seen a guy modeling the interior of the ironclad from the holoview model
Ironclad cargo area is massive
And is a door maze
I think you can store like 6 Atlas sideways
It's so big!

I sized this up in fleetview a while ago
Working from the deckplan CIG released and the cutaway
yeah, i think in my calculations i assumed there would be another two-three crates worth of space toward the back. sitll this boy got space tho
CIG can't keep getting away with this
oh nice
i think if you squeeze it the perseus might fit into one of the corners too
i still stand by the fact that the cutter is just a waste of space
when you have a c8x already
cutter scout for scanning. that's the only reason i can think of. i have one for my odyssey
yeah but it's a rambler
i much prefer the pisces though. goated little ship
plus depending on if the ironclad radar is in the detachable part or not then it might be completely useless anyway to have a scout even then
because it's supposed to have a s3 but i think it also has another radar, not sure if it's s2 or s1
that might be the one in the detachable part
this picture had me GOING for a second lmao
Same.
for sure this ilw
Ain't no way
Would be a Christmas miracle
But it passed either white or grey box in December
If it was greybox then a shaky maybe for ilw šš
They did not specify tho
I hope I eat these words tho
They did not even mention Ironclad in the march report
Ironclad is maybe IAE hopefully not later but it is cig
100% not coming
A major tragedy, but we all knew it was coming
Ironclad qued for iae

heck yea
some kinda confirmation? howd the people find out
i know that, im asking if there was a source or if that was guessing
but i see in general leaks now
april monthly report on Wednesday
very ebic
hopefully our chunky lad will be in it
No conformation on ironclad but it did state that an all new vehicles tractor beam and cargo capacity were being decided
Diabolical
Yeah the tractor beam and cargo stuff is for something new new so uuuh
Gentlemen
We are cooked
what
Now we hope for iae like that dubious leak said
Which if it finished greybox and not white box in December, would make sense
Any estimates for Ironclad release price?
Base version prolly like 500-550
Not an issue already got one in Buyback im just intrested in release price
sounds about right gotta move it further from C2
Yeah indeed
expecialy since i will get nice savings so i can get IC to Lib CCU using SC
I think a lot of people will be going from ironclad to liberator too lol
Very good move for those who want a base
If it ain't drake it ain't great

Hear me out: separate event at a later time with the release of the Ironclad and that weird looking thing from citizencon?
Whoa no drake defense con wth
Lets hope whatever event they put on will make invictus look well...Shit haha
ironclad for sure
Honestly, gives big no drake stuff to release vibes
If its indeed a separate event
Its for sure ironclad
We haven't had any news on it in general
Last one in December report, no?
correct not much has been said about it so if this really is a seperate event then Drake is gonna drop a big one
no ironclad
There is 0.1% chance we will have Ironclad as shell or tourable only
there shouldnt be a reason ironclad is haulted in the system theoretically its a box with reused parts off the cat so it makes it so hard for us to say it wont come when its the easiest ship to have built from reused machinery
maybe wasnt worked on for that while that they didnt report on ships, and now they are starting greybox or lod0 etc
Thats wild
oh well just another one if those ship sales to get money and make people wait
they did confirm that idris is releasing right?
or was that an imaginary thought
imaginary
no confirmation
pretty sure it would be a much bigger deal lol
tac is our biggest boy for invictus
perseus for iae, and who knows where ironclad will land
Idris is.
but it aint coming out
Yes it is.
you are bonkers
tac is our lad
the whales will get their ship
just not now
The the M or atleast an M with torps instead of a Railgun.
gonna be seriosuly hard to get one now haha
I still dont have one and now im trying to get one haha
I have a Jav. It loans an Idris M regardless.
Have they ever released ships on pirate week?
I don't think so.
Tragic
Well i mean there is no defense con this year so thats crazy interesting
No, so they can do it this year

Not gonna lie totally cooked on idris never got the chance but thats ok there is a better ship....Drake Kraken!!!
that bad boi is gonna make my fleet look so good
I wonder if it's cargo will go up
Me too
i feel like it has a big potential to be a heavy cargo frigate with the carrier ops in mind
indeed, hopefully its not meta cargo tho
doubt it will be but ya
gotta give the ironclad its thicc lad spot
hopefully we will hear somthing about it at the end of invictus
hopefully because i really want my flying brick
sorry but thats just the item that would make my day
same
ironclad got me hyped more than any video game coming out lol
im a lil worried they have put it on the backburner since maybe the persues sold better
if the perseus is first imma lose my mind
It's gotta be, unless both at iae
it wont be that spot is for Ironclad. Kraken will be to expensive for cargo run
the kraken just makes me feel powerful truthfully i feel like thats a ship that will make things interesting for combat ops
Didn't CIG recently say they are redesigning how the Kraken will work?
Yeah considering some kinda redesign
Which ya know, they kinda got to
I mean come on, dragonfly hangers?
Prolly just gonna make it make more sense with the game now
Yes.
no, from what i understood they will just rearrange the interior a bit so they can fit in medbay and escape pods
and maybe upscale it a smidge to fit everything
Well looks like CIG is admitting that they have some checkout issues with the idris and we will get additional waves of idris soon
this should be interesting
Question: do you think base Ironclads price will be 500USD+ on release?
At least 500 yeah
probably will go to $525
Base is currently at 450$ and Assault is 535$
i think 510$ and 575$
maybe near 600$
god i hope they give us some info on ironclad
NO IRONCLAD!?
nope...
Welp

they forgor
One of us!
One of us!
One of us!
YESSS
I joined too
Yess!!! Finally more ironchads
the verse shall be supplied to the brim with goods
dubiously legal goods
also in Ironclad club
to everyone getting ironclads
go get a c2, and hold the ccu from c2 till the ironclad comes out
that caterpillar will be soul crushing to use until next drake day or whenever till our lad comes out
got Asgard to play with till Ironclad drops
go elsewhere then
Ok but have you considered Ironclad Assault.
Which I am potentially considering for IAE.
Oop, my bad. Sorry, I forgot.
good for you man
The repair bay may be useful along with cargo to build bases. I dunno, seems good. Like a better armed Pioneer.
the repair bay will not build bases, let alone anywhere near the scale of the pioneer, that's huge copium
maybe when they release a base building ground vehicle you could shove that in there but that's not going to be anywhere near pioneer levels of base building
I ended up getting the assault as well so now i own a base and assault versions
if only the railen was out
Ok but if I have a small base and need a vehicle maintenance station, I might as well use a ship instead of building one. So itās Ironclad Assault vs Pioneer vs Starlancer BLD vs Polaris whenever its fueling abilities are in.
id go pipneer
pioneer
the pioneer has so much going for it like being able to make a base and then the idea of printing ships
its just an all around interesting ship
I have a Pioneer but no matter what, unless it gains LTI, it never leaves my buybacks.
Iāll hope it goes above $1K on Release but if not, Starlancer BLD.
Either that or Praetorian Pack.
I have one in my buybacks for 6 month insurance and honestly im cool with that im not going to chase LTI
If i spend another 5K id just run into pretorian as well
had an idris and most ships id ever want at this point
Mine has 10 years but yea, Iāll probably grab the Praetorian pack.
praetorian also comes with LTI on everything
Which is why Iāll get it⦠when I have what is basically double my current spend.
Plus, like $2K of that is untouchable subscription/limited/other untouchable stuff.
ah makes sense
I think if i get myself out of debt soon like im working on ill drop a loan for $15000 to have that package and then keep what i currently have on top
bad financial decisions but I live dangerously
As long as it doesnāt have Interest.
yeah true
not to judge but i feel like spending $15000 on star citizen from a loan is a very horrible idea
to take out a loan to spend $15000 on any hobby is generally a very bad idea anyway
That has to be the worst idea in the history of ideas
It was a joke
ive known only 1 person to have taken a loan on star citizen and that was for the $45000 package
So idk if anyone knows an answer to this, but with the ironclad not having vertical thrusters, do we know if larger ships without vertical thrusters will be able to take off from planets really?
Or maybe it will just be VERY slow going up from landing, until you angle to use main thrusters
But they are just the maneuvering thrusters
Which from what I've seen on Reddit will overheat quickly to go against hovering forever, which I would assume the ironclad will basically be a rocket ship lol, just straight up to leave atmos
i'm gonna assume at an angle
i've noticed reclaimer can't point down on some planet without falling
Yeah makes sense
there are many things on reddit
Indeed lol
I just check here cause sometimes someone is like "well in 2016 cig said..." Lol
if the kraken can land planetside you bet your ass the ironclad can too
kraken will be able to land planet side but the issue is that if its fully loaded it will need the SRV tow team to help lift off due to weight
Yeah thats from what i was hearing but again this is all speculation at this point
i cant even say that it will be fact haha
Yeah who knows
They'll just make the ironclad thrusters fold down like an f35 lol
Or God forbid, just put some larger thrusters on the bottom
Turn vtol on and they activate
when did cig ever say that
every large ship capable of landing on planets has vertical trusters only difrence is how long can ship hover before said trusters start overheating
Yeah just seems like iron clad doesn't have ya know, it's a concept
Omfg
It literally shows in the pic
The front engine with the Cutlass wing blade rotates
So it'll have some kinda rotating stuff on the back too I would imagine
actualy no it has 8 fixed VTOL trusters at back,4 fixed at front and 4 rotating one shown in your pic
still those are weak VTOLs meant for landing and take off and not hovering
Indeed, as it should be
its showin 3 different images guys...
Very goated
I like the idea of integrated thrusters alot, I wish more ships had them for vertical thrusters
I'm aware now just didn't see it the first time
what are yalls bets on any info for ironclad this monthly report
i bet they dont say a thing
i bet they trash the ironclad idea and release javalin at IAE and then we see the store break down and finally at the peak of the november sale the entire website goes down due to sales
Ok but one Cap releasing every 6 months isnāt so bad. And it doesnāt have to release at the cost of Ironclad, they can both release at the same time.
endless javs flying around with no balance against them lol, events are already untouchable with the idris lasers
Sits here just dreaming piloting an ironclad assault while my gunners gun down the apex sand worm dodging the toxic spit balls after dropping off the ground team but sadly these are just dreams
The Ironclad doesn't need to dodge, it has armor.
I fear the only purpose the ironclad is going to have is be a loot pinata for all the military capitals they keep releasing who just sit outside station tanking the turret fire
swap station turrets for distortion weapons nothing better than disabling capital and possibly set it on fire
yeah lol if they ever do something to properly slow down capitals i think itll be okay, but for the next few years its gonna be just low risk hauling in stanton
cant wait for nautilus to show up and ruin idris
hold key jump points down with mines
Why would it be different from the other ships.

With a focus on rooms
Exterior is done
Interior is now in order
We might see it IAE or earlier
what we thinking about the sneak peak? kinda looks like that mech suit
it said "reborn with purpose" i think its a rework
since the new ptu update said "esperia prowler polish"
introducing the all new
prowler mk2
Ironclad in refinement stages?
Oh I actually read it now lol
But hey kraken full production later this year
Good for ironclad
I really need this ironclad
ILW 2026
Grrrr
if this ship keeps getting pushed out more and more imma make sure i write emails haha
it wont since CIG needs it for Kraken as well
This makes me laugh, people have been waiting for 12 years for their alien cargo hauler hahaha
lol listen the merchantman was doomed from the start

But we already have a Banu Merchantman!
do we know or have confirmation if the ironchad or fatterpillar getting a med bay
I won't get one
But we can probably squeeze a nursa in the vehicle bay
It has a enough space besides the central elevator
that was the original plan
yeah that garage gonna be really popular for nursa
that garage is gonna carry all my ground vehicles
Docturtle gonna be parked in mine, get that tier2 medical facility
we still thinking this is releasing for IAE
i call a good chance
don't remember the leaks but pulling it outta my ass i say %60-70?
I hope they show some cool video with it and the perseus together for IAE
Instead of them wasting time and money on some video. Focus that time and money on releasing them
next ILW
Kraken gonna be sitting at next ILW
lol look if they dont make 7 videos of sneak peaks then how will it release
this is a good thought i know kraken depends on ironclad heavily
Just put it in-game. Why sneak some peaks when you can just drop it out of the blue
I hope we get to see the kraken then at the end of 2026 be able to fly it
We need an ironclad variant that is mining. And it would be the next step up from arrastra. Built in refinery and having majority of the cargo space ore pods. Maybe have a spot for a golem to sit so they can come back from like a planet and refine their ore
All the front turrets could be replaced with dual mining lasers on each turret. And with the bridge supposed to decouple from the main body. You can have more with empty ore pods ready to go
Hopefully some news about her in the monthly report
well we know interior layout will be difrent from what we were shown, but no hard feelings im not sure we will get any really good news since its to early
If anything comes from this monthly report id be surprised.
need my ironclad
I need my kraken so I can park an ironclad on top of it
i need my ironclad to transport my javelin safely
