Agree with that. I think it's important to not have too many ships too.. even if it's.. tempting. ๐
I have 4 total pledge ships, and that's finished
Only way they could get me is if they release a juicy Tevarin ship
Damn! :o
What are those pledge ships?
I currently have 3 pledge ships myself: 400I, Rambler, and C1.
It's just so handy and fast
Good lord. :o
Oh I see! So it's like a smaller 100I?
It's my precious little scout shuttle, able to transport people or items from A to B super zippy
Good for shopping trips
But it'll also be a very handy pocket explorer
Good for scouting resources or landing in caves
Falling in love with the Pisces is what made me decide I wasn't happy with the 400 anymore
Oh?
The Pisces was faster, cheaper to operate, easier for friends to enter and exit
Would the recommend the normal pisces or the expedition variant?
I see yes, the ramp being really fast..
The 400 only brought durability, habitation, and small vehicles
Not that useful for small fast things..
But then the 600i rework was shown and it was way better for long expeditions
So I decided I'd get a big 600 for the long trips where anything can happen
And a little C8X for short trips in safe space
The C8X has two more guns than the C8. It's overall superior.
Yeah I think I understand that..
But wouldn't the medical bed be more useful?
I decided that, with the medbay on the 600, I didn't really need another one on my Pisces
Instead I can bring storage crates and cram in a ton of loot
Plus it's more comfortable for a third passenger to sit than lay in the medbed
That's logical if your big ship is already a medical base, yes!
I currently have the rambler so it's kinda the same but it's without the capacity to park it in vehicle pad..
Yeah, I was a little tempted by the Rambler but ultimately I just didn't really need the living area and the size and speed of the Pisces is part of the reason I got it
It is a little funny how everything comes full circle though
I totally get it, I mean, the size of the 100I is also a reason to have it. ๐
It goes everywhere, a bit of interior and is zippy.
Yep. If it fit in the 600 I might be tempted
But otherwise it's just too expensive for what it has
The rambler is slower but the interior is very nice, however it would really be useful once exploration gameplay come in and that... well we have to wait.
Agreed the price of the 100I is too heavy. x_x
The other part of why I didn't upgrade to the Rambler is because I am allergic to Drake ships ๐คข
Can't wait until the Zeus comes out and I can apply the upgrade to my Cutty Black
Understandable enough. xD
THe dirty aesthetic of Drake is.. mh. Love or hate.
At least the Rambler is cleaner on the interior!
True
Just want my explorers to be made of nicer stuff than scrap metal, duct tape, and asbestos
But I guess that's why I'm an Origin pilot
Aha I mean, I cannot say the contrary! If you explore it must seem safe!
And someday, my beautiful Luna Caerulea will dunk on all the Corsairs out there
Let's hope!
I really hope for the exploration contracts. Like a little something of course explorer ships would do better.
Should be some good scanning missions once scanners are properly implemented
But that'll come after the map I'm sure
I sure hope so, 3 of my ships are based around scanning XD
Or at two are, and the third based around evading them
My only problem with the 400i is, indeed, the pretty smol cargo
And the fact that the bottom of the ship makes it difficult to fit any high vehicle
For the size, the 400i should reslly have more space imo
48 is by no means small. Thatโs only 1/4 less than dedicated cargo hauler C1 Spirit.
Agreed a bit with space... at least to fit bigger vehicles!
It's not terrible though, you can fit a ROC with some messing around
Sure, it could use up a bit more of the cargo bay, but it's nice having a wide walkway around the cargo for components, suit lockers, etc...
And it is decievingly large, actually. It doesn't look it from a first person view but if you have another person there, or look in external cam, it's pretty big
Agreed that 400 is like a tardis, bigger from the inside!
Which is a proof of nice design.
And true luxury is optimisation of space.
I long for the G12..
To have the whole Origin set, from dress to ground to space.
It's pretty nice, I have to say
They might one day rethink the 400's cargo bay but I doubt it
It's still a really solid ship, it wasn't meant to be a hauler anyway
Agreed it's an explorer. ๐
But it's a pretty nice one! And still love those living quarters.
And a joy to fly!
It's an excellent explorerer
Buy it?
Don't forget the Origin Celebration pack too with the shirt and hat
Gotta show off that we love Origin
We do indeed
God damn where did you buy it?
True! A bit too plain but gotta show off.
It's a Conceriege exclusive pack
I would like a business jacket with the origin logo for my girl.
Gotta spend money so we can spend more money but it's exclusive this time
You'll get there in no time with origin ships
Just buy 4 400i's
Wbjsjsjsjuzususuz xD
Im already at 50%. xD
Or win the f5 war and get an 890 come ILW/ IAE
It comes at you hard and fast
I somehow got one
And with only one current Origin ship (melted my 100 and 300), with origin mug, and origin helmet.
My friend who has been wanting one way longer than me still doesnt
A bit too fast...
Tell them to just buy the complete pack
No f5 wars
Peaceful and calm, a refined experience - just like Origin
If the rewards are interesting, I could take the annual centurion subscription, but for now it doesn't seem to be.
How much is the complete pack again
Sub gear is fun
I know the G12 will be in real money!
But easy to lose. :(
We are the flowing waters!
Over 1.5k I believe
A bit over
I think credits and melting allow us to trick a bit for concierge but not sure.
As I have 540~ counted for concierge but I payed less.
Not really any way to trick concierge, it takes info from your billing page
So if you do any GM stuff, you're only really tricking yourself
Didn't stop me though
Interesting. :o
Iโm around 200 deep atm
I don't do GM!
Having credit to recycle is pretty useful, I can't lie
300i plus a C1 Spirit
Maybe it counted so others things. ๐ค
Lets you really experiment with ships
400i, C1, Rambler!
But with Giocoso helmet.
If only I was not so fearing to lose it after a kill.
Rambler is the Cutter Variant right?
Anything that means your money goes towards the development of the game is money that slowly counts towards getting into concierge
Yes! The interior is luxury to Drake standard.
Flood light, better bed...
less exposed wiring and a toulet that flushes hahaha
xD
Yes!
The bed is comfier, there is a computer.
I take it as a small deep space explorer and took a white + blue paint to make it cleaner looking.
Good to know, thanks!
Iโll be upping my C1 to a Zeus at some point and my 300i up to a 350r/325a
Good call
Be wary to change the Quantum drive of the 325a!
The stock one will not get you far at all.
I flew my 350 last night, flies really well and the doubled up thrusters gives it a real nice look
Very aggressive
I think I will too upgrade the C1 to a Zeus in due time.
Zeus's will probably be a 400 competitor, they're in the same size/ 3 crew range
Honeslty, I may end up using it more
But
I can't love it much more than the 400
It's cool (I wish we had the OG Zeus available) but not 400 cool
I got a Zeus MR, I love bounty hunting but I hate Drake so I was praying for an alternative to the Cutlass Blue
Yeah, I might grab the MR
Was seriously considering grabbing one alongside the base Zeus but didn't have funds for it at the time
I'll see how I like the Zeus and think about what to do with it
Yeah, if you're not sure then I recommend to wait
Right now there are serious concerns about its firepower
The strength of the EMP is yet to be determined, as well as the speed and armor
AI blades may make the turrets more useful solo
Oh!
I sooo long for that.
I even took 2 packages as they said every package would allow a NPC.
I don't care much for firepower, I have dedicated fighters for that, I was more thinking the MR to be used as a dedicated bunker runner with that massive armoury and still enough room in the cargo
Seems great for it
That is a major appeal for me
I wanted it as an all-purpose mercenary ship that could bring in criminals
Where??
IAE.
Think it was IAE exclusive?
Yup.
Should be in the store then
Prestige Origin jacket, mh...
youโll let the locals know that you only fly the best.
From the description
:D
Good to know!
Agreed!
Love polyvalence.
I can grab it for you if you'd like, as a fellow Origin lover to another
Oh you know what, I don't think I have all Origin gear
I think i'm missing the racing suit
Scratch that
Same here, that's why 3 of my ships have multiple roles
Oh that's really gentle! But I would not want to waste your money, I can still grab the subscription for that.. do you have a screenshot of all Origin gear, including subscriber store?

Also why I love the C1, because it can be bunker run, cargo or explore, and the Rambler is exploration but have a massive armory and is flexible enough for search and retrieve missions.
This is all the Origin gear in the store
Flight Suit is only from the GM now
That's hard to see, i'll see if I can find a better one
Thanks you! So that would be the jacket and gear, gear at least no need to be subscribed for.. However the items still don't return to us if we lost it to a bug or anything right?
Thanks you! Classy. :o
Not until they implement the gear recovery with the freight lifts
So a bit long, I see...
You don't generally lose items on you to bugs as much though
Most of the time you can quit to menu and you'll spawn back at the last station/ city you were at with all the gear you were carrying
And ships/ vehicles you can claim
You're right! Just to be wary of not stocking them in a destroyed ship, or be killed with. I am very cautious with my formal dress..
I've not really lost pledge gear too much, it stays in safe storage
Understandable, my pledge gear is often on New Babbage.. ๐
If I take it out somewhere, i'll either return it to home, or leave it at a station somewhere
Yes! To be wary of not doing any critical mission..
Yeah, I plan photoshoots then return valuables somewhere safe
Or bedlog if I can and return them next time
My Pisces is a 1-3 person scout shuttle, my Zeus is a 1-3 person mercenary/bounty hunter, and my 600 a 1-5+ person all purpose expedition ship. I've got options for all crew sizes and activities (that I want to do)
And then I have the Talon which is just badass
I'm very pleased with how my fleet turned out

That's very nice of you!
Small ships can be so cosy too I feel.
And it's good to not be locked.
Absolutely that.. xD
I do photoshoots of my character way too often.
You only ever need 3 ships max in a fleet for any single person, a small shuttle, main thing and then a bigger thing if you have more people
Yeah..
Mhm
Maybe a bit more, but not 10. ๐
I'll most likely cut my fleet down at some point close to release
My Rambler is my small shuttle but if only it was spawnable from a ground pad..
Or if I have too many ships, i'll just play on an alt with nothing
The medical pisces have the bed for that, so it's cool but no shower. :(
But I like the medical sas, feel cool on "entering the ship, decontamination".
All I would possibly spend money on is paint for the MR and/or a fancy new Tevarin ship
Not the Prowler, dropships are icky
Paint is understandable absolutely!
Teravins know how to make a cool looking ship
Im a sucker for custom...
I bought the Talon on announcement, got my Aves armor and everything
It was the exact ship I wanted
Send them all!
Well the ones you like.
Understandable. ๐
For me my ships must be "livable", it's a bit strange I know!
And I love clean ships, or retro ship, like 50/70s scifi ships.
God I would LOVE Spacers ships. (well they look like Origin ships, just more retro)
Damn it's cool looking!
Damn those are some sexy birds!
Might take a bit to open, they're chonky files
I'm really happy with the colour palette I ended up with
I use the Harmony paint on my Talon, the iridescent red/purple/blue is just too perfect
Especially since I really didn't like the base blue/green
I wanted the ship and armour to match for the shots, so I took the Shrike out without any paints on
I love it, but i'm a sucker for blues/ greens and everything between
Fair
For Spacers, I am not talking about the TV serie of course, but the original lore of them. ๐
I swap my profile around a lot
Depends on recent screenshots I like
Currently got a golden/ dusky thing going with some nice green accents to compliment
I would love more paint options generally actually, Origin would look really nice with more silvery blues
Or just more metallic and reflective surfaces
Depend of the base too.. but I agree Origin look very nice with blue, and reflection. I am more generally red, black, purple.. but here often blue and white. ๐
And sometimes purple-pinkish/blue, vaporwave!
And very brown if steampunk mooded.
I wouldn't be opposed to darker paints
Highlights in just the right areas to really make the ship pop
Exactly! Like bit of neon.
I think less neon and more just brighter or complimenting contrasting colours
It seem Origin follow those schemes:
White/black and white/blue for base.
Black/red for military.
Black/yellow for exploration.
Blue for cargo (and racing)
Yello for racing.
Can be nice!
They follow the Black/ Yellow for racing too though
Seems it's just a big bold colour (or a bold statement) for racing colours
G12 is a bright blue, 350r is black with yellow highlighting, X1 Velocity is mostly white with a yellow accent stripe, M50 is red with white accenting
Right on that.. ๐
There is also black/gold color with 125a and X1 Force!
(but I prefer the old X1 Force paint)
I do like the black/gold/bronze motif I would admit.
Origin L common
L common?
Aegis W
I think they are trying to spit on the most stylish ships in the Empire
Unfortunately my 600i is too tall for them to reach anything but the landing gear
xD
Please, no gendered language.
And our sound systems are so loud, I can only hear Chopin here.
My apologies, I've fixed it
Ah damnit I want my new lounge already. Need my moonroof and my balcony
Want to sit in the middle of nowhere and sip my fancy smoothies
I just need my 600 to be reworked already!
Or at least an idea of when it will be done
The silence is agonizing
Well originally they suggested summer 2022 or something right?
They didn't suggest any time
Or rumoured to be, maybe
Just that they "only needed to slot it into the schedule"
Fuck it, you know what?
Bang
๐
I want my ship to be as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside
Tired of giving my friends tours with the caveat that the entire thing is being redone
Agreed with you! Hope one day we will have ship custom for all ships, not only the 300 series.
Like interior paints..
I love the more muted silvery tone they went with too
Feels less in your face than the stark white
Damn Im envious..
And agreed for the silvery tone! Way easier on the eyes.
Very Star Trek looking too!
Like it's look like a Starfleet scientific ship. ๐
I fell in love with the 600 when I saw these pictures
So damn cozy
The plants and the moonroof and the balcony
Individual crew quarters in a lovely shared space
It's like a Corsair but outright superior
Indeed
Indeed! One must respect the power of plants and balcony.
The 400i taught me the power of a plant
Now it is a requirement
Current 600 doesn't do too bad on plants tbh
More green stuff
Need a little alien in a jar or aquarium for us.
literally in love
now that's looks a lot more Origin style than the current 600i
Y'all understand why I'm so impatient then
It's so much better than what we have now
Yeah, it's night and day..
Not like Origin lacks the funds for it
I wonder if the 600i will get any kind of aquarium in the rework
It'd be a little decadent but that's what we're all about here
I'm primarily hoping I can keep my TV and pool table
the only ship that I know has an aquarium is the phoenix
why doesn't origin
My brother in Chris
The 890 has at least 6 aquariums
One in each guest room, one in the master suite, and one under the spa
Touring or explorer is the question
Because functions like that in touring make sense
In explorerโฆ. Ehh
Agreed
It would be nice to have it in the Touring. I would be very surprised to see it in the Explorer as well
Never been in the suites tbh
Check it out when you do another boarding mission
Look, I just want a ship with a vehicle bay and a medbay with pilot weapons
Is that too much to ask?
A Steve fits, but yeah, Cyclone does not
Another reason why I didn't want the Cutlass Blue even though I wanted a multi crew bounty hunter
A stv? My brother in Christ a ptv is tight enough getting in and out is unpleasant
STV fits fine in the 400
Cause we only need to care about Origin ships
Not the haphazardly taped together Drake 'ships'
Does the 400 have a medbay?
No, not unless you borrow a gurney and a bunch of med equipment
proceeds to jam a medical pisces in the cargo bay
sex
It is! I love how glamour those ships are.
Wow
Oh, french? And thanks! Took some screenshots during quantum travel to better show my 400i. ๐
Agreed! Really good for some ambiance.
It's small but the 400 really has a great lounge
Better than what the 600i has in my opinion
Small kitchenette, little cubbies for food and drink, nicely lit table and comfortable seats for some R&R, holotable for maps and other things, underrated panoramic view of the surroundings
And most importantly, doesn't feel too small or cramped because good design
Yes! It absolutely feel vast for its compact size. The holotable is really good for strategy. The kitnechette with processor.. all the lights, extra seats, and the view to the surroudings is perfect during travel or just seeing where we are.
It make all the difference, we feel more the world outside. ๐
My 600i explorer is called Eliminator Maximus
That's a 625a? ๐
Wait so 600i rework is this week???
We wish
Won't be for a while, they'd probably let us know beforehand - ISC video on it and all
I imagine 600 rework would be for Q3, maybe Q2? Same period the G12 would be released.
With maybe a upgrade or pledge bundle for both.
400i cartography table is hands down the coolest space ever
Agreed, love some holotable! It would be even better if it showed our position in true time.
Got a feeling that once the new UI and mobiglas stuff comes we'll see cartography tables come to life
I mean come on, what's stopping them from copy pasting the same 3D map into the holographic display?
Absolutely!
And that would make exploration ships more lively.
Same as having maps of the planets in our screens.
i hope ๐
If they finish pushing out most of the SQ content they wanted to bring over to PU within Q1, then I think we can then possibly hope for the renovation sometime this year, late Q2/ early Q3 maybe
The SQ features are more of a priority to them currently
And while it is a big change to the 600, it isn't too big of a change in terms of balance (in terms of ship combat and capability), so I doubt it's a high priority
Just as a small footnote, it isn't really a rework, nothing about the ship's health, movement, weapons, or components are changing. It's why I refer to it as more of a renovation than a rework, rework could give the wrong idea and get people excited over something that won't change (i.e. ship balancing)
I do actually like that term, thinking about it
Bang, name changed
If we got it this year I would be a happy man
Very happy
Still, though, I can't get my hopes up on pure speculation. Only when we see more work or a rough deadline can we even begin to truly know
If you had asked me when the renovation would be done after it was announced I would have guessed about a year
Yeah, I know i'm being a bit "Um, acktyually" about it but I feel it's an important distinction to make so that people don't get the wrong idea
Understandable
Renovation, redecoration, redesign (bit of a grey one) all work I think, but rework gives the wrong idea because of what we've had in the past in terms of buffs/ debuffs/ nerfs
Mm
I would love it to come out within a year but CIG have a bad reaction to setting any dates
Always ends up delayed in some form or another
Can hope it'll be done this year once they have the bigger stuff out of the way
I just want to know when they'll begin working on it
John Crewe said they just need to find a good time to fit it in to the production schedule, and to be fair to them, they've been pretty damn busy last year
It'll take however long it takes, but it'll never even start happening until they schedule it
The sooner they start, the sooner we get it
For months I've been watching roadmap updates like an owl, looking for a mention of the renovation starting

Yeah, i'm sure they would have mentioned it
And people would be talking about it more
Mhm
The only good information we'll get will be the ISC tease/ look once they're in late whitebox or early greybox
That's what makes me the most impatient. The work is a mostly fixed duration, but they could schedule it tomorrow or next year for all we know. I want to know when.
Or maybe they'll keep it under wraps till it's in the final art pass and they do a big reveal and rough timeframe
Good way or bad way lol?
Both
Understandable
I just want to know they're chipping away at it
Having to sit in silence would not be made up for by a big reveal
I think once we have the 12 (+ whatever extras the ship teams need to finish) ships they teased, that's when we might get news on it
I'd rather have some assurance that it's coming
Yeah
And i'm sure people have asked on spectrum/ other socials too
It's not like they've completely forgotten
The only thing that gives me a little hope is that in the last ISC, Jared mentioned the "many new ships and reworks" that they had planned for this year
And few reworks are as prominent as ours
The only other confirmed reworks I know of are the Retaliator, Constellation...

The only other work on current ships that I can think of off the top of my head are the STY and X1 balance that they're monitoring and the 600 renovations
Oh yeah, we saw the Tali as one of the 12 blurred ships
Didn't know the Connies were getting some love though
But yeah, the 600 is a pretty high profile one
It's a much loved solo ship for many for a lot of good reasons, even with the interior being the way it is
Connies are getting a redone windshield
Retaliator is getting that new airlock eventually
That makes me sad
Connies are old ships, both in lore and life, it's nice to have those more aged looks
about time, whenever I fly one i have one giant ass metal bar right in front of my eyes
don't have that problem with origin
We shit all over it but it's really not that bad of a view from the cockpit
Surprisingly good visibility ahead and to the sides, even with the struttage
I know it isn't but it annoys me
Origin windows truly are superb
600i view on the other side..
I wish there were passenger windows like on the phoenix
600 has the best master bedroom of any ship
Combine them with Tobii and you have a premiere flight experience
facts
The renovation is adding a moonroof to the living area, though I doubt the cabins themselves will have windows
Following the glass from one end to the other in the 400 when you're somewhere pretty just hits different with tracking
One of the many reasons I bought it!
Combine that with an ultrawide too...
I used to have a 400i and didn't like the idea that my fiance would have to stay in the crew room
So I upgraded to the double bed with a view
I no longer have to worry about sharing so the 400 is fine for me
I do have to say though, going from 1080p to 1440p, as well as literally a bigger monitor, really changes your perspective on ships
Having just that slightly bigger screen really surprises you with how well scale can be shown
I started playing on a modest 20-24'? 1080 and a rig that could run the game but struggled
Then I basically built a new computer after upgrading bits over a month or two, ended up hopping straight up to I think 34' 1440x3440 WQHD
Man that was a change and a half
Quite the jump!
Yeah
I do not regret it in the slightest
Good for when I do work, great for gaming
Excellent for screenshots
No doubt!
We need pets in star citizen so I can have cats roaming my 890
We don't even know if it's this year
As far as I know, it's been shelved till they can slot it in
I think I saw some things about it once
It was a big talking point at CitizenCon this year
Buy drake for Carlos the cockroach
Ew no
Renamed muh 890 to Continental (Yes, John Wick)
beautiful

Continental is a good name for the 890
what a ship
Eventually all ships will be namable
I'm not looking forward to it because I am terrible at naming things
Aha understandable!
Generally my names are in relation to a paint or job of the ship.
Imagine locking a random ship and you see a Javelin named 'Adjudicator'
Ship of Dave
Dave the ship
890 Dave
xD
I feel like it might be limited to bigger ships
Maybe
But they haven't clarified
My guess is they'll forget and we'll just have some of the newer ships namable, or it'll be OC ships only, like they've done with the Corsair
Yeah I think too...
I have names planned for all 4 of my ships
Well, I guess "planned" is a bit outdated for my 600, which is just actually named
The Luna Caerulea
I think i'd only really need to name my 400, anything smaller isn't really in need of one
I'm a bit of a ponce though so all of my ship names are in Latin
Of course lol
Even my name is Latin so it tracks
I try to name ships after things that are relevant or have meaning to me, but i've had one or two exceptions where I just blank
Not very origial though
That's my goal as well
I love blue, associate with the moon, and am overall very lucky, so it only made sense to name my explorer Luna Caerulea: the Blue Moon
Le Spectre
My Zeus MR is my all-purpose combat and bounty hunting ship, designed to capture criminals, so I named it after the legal concept, Habeas Corpus: To Have the Body
I've generally referenced books, film/ tv and games that I love, Latin names seem very popular for ships so i've avoided them so far
Try naming one "Le Prout"
My Pisces is my adorable little scout shuttle, so I named it Avicula: the Little Birdie
Its a french word full of meaning ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
And then my Talon is just badass and stealthy, so I named it the Umbra Mortis: the Shadow of Death
Wow
Not 100% on that one, but I can't think of anything better
400i should have the possibility to be named in my opinion
Plagiarism
Would like to fly in "Le Prout"
When my 600 was still a 400, it was still named the Luna Caerulea
Dies in latin
Honestly: Take a 890 as an org specialising in covert work > call it Continental
Yee
It will become a space hub
Let's see, i've got the 600iT "Darquesse", 600iE "Skulduggery", 890J "Skyloft", Carrack "The Berkian", MSR "Navi" and Corsair "Poseidon". Had a HH called "Koloktos" and Reclaimer called "Grabby McGrabface" but they've been sold
What's the issue?
No business shall be conducted on Continental grounds
Rosa rosa rosam rosae rosae rosa rosarum rosis rosis
You mean moritur?
I dont remember quite good
Ye
God I still remember the noun ending song my Latin teacher played
A ae ae am a, ae arum is as is
Grabby McGrabface is now no longer relevant
pain
Latin is dead now, I can't imagine it sticking around for another 900 years
Us I o um o, I orum is os is
Not my problem now lol ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
- is I em e, es um ibus es ibus
It will
Latin has been dead for long and it has been pushed by high school teachers for far too long lmao
I chose Latin over Spanish, French, and Chinese
It's not even in the curriculum here anymore, I didn't see any options to study it (although I probably would have because it's very interesting)
Sorry, but that's not very smart. Unless you want to become a specific historian studying specific things...
French better
Its a latin language but it is actually spoken

It was high school and I was sick of studying Spanish my whole life
Spanish is better than German
I gained a great appreciation for history and the continuity of civilization
Chinese was a good bet tbh
Brutus was a bad person
We get taught French, then end up rotating from German, Spanish and French, have an option to take further study later on
Nothing else
No Latin, Mandarin, Hindu whatever
Not in public schools anyway
Ah fun
So did you study french ?
Only because I was forced to
I chose to study Spanish further because we were told it looks good later on (people don't care) but my class was fucked over because the competent teacher left and we had some idiot and our average dropped by a good few grades lol
Funnily enough I now need Spanish for my job
Granted I am leaving that job this year, but still
Yes
400i is a solid option
If you want to spend less, the 300 series are pretty good too, 100s are amazing options for starters
Alternatively
890 Jump
Something you can operate alone to contrast with your multi crew 600
M50 is great for racing, can dogfight kinda well because of its agility
Lacks dps a bit
The only ships in that list I'd consider bringing into combat are the 125, 300, and 325
In increasing order of ability
M50 is somewhere around the 300 in terms of ability, more agile than it but trades dps for it
Doesn't it only have 1 shield?
But if you really want to fight, get in the 600 and have people in the turrets
1S2 I believe?
It is a racer fist and foremost, after all
Oh, no, 2S1s
Oh it does have two shields, huh
2S2s for weapons, same for missiles
No wonder they're such a PITA to kill
Yeah, and the npcs in them love to joust
?
325 is very good in combat but the wings are too fragile!
Surprisingly, in bounty the 400i was.more than enough to melt one pass HRT bounties.
100 series is slower to kill, very weak shield but its agility make it harder to hit unless gimbal.
BONJOUR
I found the 400i utterly inadequate for even matches
Bonjour mes amis !
I am the only one who have the right to say wow at things
False, it's Neo who can!
For even matches I agree, for others it's powerful.
Et oui, je parle franรงais !
RUN AWAY
J'avoue
รvidemment !
Uhh
Such class, such wine.
Croissant baguette encour!
Actually yeah, it's stupid to use but the 400 is solid for smaller ships. They can't get through the shield
It takes time but it's doable, speaking from experience
I've forgotten most of the French I've been taught lol
Who needs to learn when we have Google translate, totally reliable
I might have enjoyed learning it if I wasn't forced to learn it earlier on
Ahahah of course. But I understand, same with english!
German was pretty fun to learn, but that's probably because I enjoyed the simplicity of it
Also Origin is registered as a German company I believe
GMBH or something
Yeah for me 400i strike as.. not a combat ship but small pirates just... can't kill it.
It's a nod to german backers! But yes Origin was founded in Cologne. :)
It's too slow to get the target ahead where you can shoot them, you're done for against a compotent pilot. Npcs, however
Are not compotent
In the banks of the Rhine.
I've switched seats to the remote turret before, had more range to shoot them. Worked quite well
Well, I've got some pomme de terre to turn into mash
See, I can do French
Agree, so I use gimbal. ๐
So frenchy!
I'm just glad I have my 600i, which hits like a truck and is even harder to kill
Pomme de terre, omelettes...
Oh god yes the 600i is a death star. xD
It fit my needs a lot better overall
Plus the comfort, mmf
I want to live in that ship
Same, same...
Origin ships are so cosy.
I really want a Prometheus vibe for the new interior!
Or a Star Trek one but I think it will be Star Treky.
(The 400i cockpit already have Trekkie posts)
I mean we've seen the pictures
Yes! Not all but many of them...
When will they fix the goddamn 600i elevator walls
My friends are all afraid of getting on it because they rightfully fear getting stuck in the hull
Based on?
The post they made on spectrum
Which one?
U dont get stuck
U just straight up go outside the ship
Like vg toilet
I havent
Well, lucky you
Still can't find that spectrum post you're talking about, either
I watch the origin forum like a hawk
Elevator and jeffrey tube!
This looks so goodddd
Since the 400i have a tube.. wow.
Oooh yes...
God I want that cargo bay
Same
So good for vehicles and loot
Cargo annoying af to load and you cant put in 8scu and 16scu boxes
Nope
It's just barely soloable in good conditions
In dangerous and/or stressful environments you'll want a couple buds
Nahh shouls be as soloable as a c2
And i hope they make it look less like a bed pan
Hope it does not happens with a 400i
I hope they add npc crew before any major reworks
That and AI turrets!
400i is more soloable for sure
No dice, they confirmed there would be no major changes to the exterior
From the outside the only changes will be the moonroof, cargo bay, and docking collar
The 400 and similar sized ships are probably going to be the limit of comfortably soloable ships
400i even is still a bit large for comfortably solo
Itโs about as soloable as a connie
I hope they never add NPC crew
Becauseโฆ. I donโt yearn for a world where everyone has their own javelin with an AI crew.
I would at least like AI blades
Two of my ships have remote turrets I'd like to automate
Slave. Not automate.
It makes them into glorified gimbles
That would be acceptable
Which ship?
Zeus MR and 600i
Reasonable.
The Zeus is the one I'm primarily concerned with
I heard they may not work with all turrets or at least not all manned turrets or turrets of a certain size
In any case the zeus should be fine
600i turrets are for fighter deterrence
But I want the Zeus turrets to augment my below average pilot firepower
Which kinda works, kinda doesnโt with blades
Since you canโt fire out of your central cone
6x s3 wouldnโt be bad on the zeus tbf
Also remember using blades costs you performance elsewhere
Zeus guns are S4s, not S3s
4x S3 and 2x S4 total
Slightly more than a Cutlass
Cutlass has a ton of missiles, Zeus has the big boy EMP
Also congratulations Origin Club, we're now the second most talkative club in the server
We are 1/4th of the way towards surpassing the Whale Club
The only brand that comes close to scratching my itch for Origin comfort is Crusader
But they don't make explorers
I beg to differ
Although I don't really do cargo/ mining/ industrial work, ARGO has some top tier comfort levels
Very true, but I am the opposite of an industrial player
I like combat and exploration
That's why I have two explorers and two combat ships
Oh I do agree with that I like Crusader ship. Well. The C1 have some.. special living quarters, but still feel very good.
Surprisingly yes..!
But I imagine they take inspiration to truckers bed and things like that.
Crusader is very utilitarian but I like that you can still feel they do care about comfort.
Consolidated Outland is 50/50. Like, the Nomad interior is very cosy for the living area, but the rest is not, the toilet is not acceptable at all.
Crusader is far from utilitarian
The old Mustang Beta was awesome, the new one is too.. barebone (especially the bed).
I used to own a Beta!
But I like the inclusion of furnaces and stove to be more "homey"
Good lord that couch/bed with computer was a geek dream!
The Beta was a very good fit for me but two details of the rework killed it for me: first the new interior, too barebone, and the fact we can't access it from outside anymore.
How do you view Crusader style?
Consolidated Outlands, I think, need the Mustang Interior to be more in line with Nomad style, but in the same time, the Nomad need a bit of a rework for some details (there is no shower and sink, incoherent with the Beta that does have one)
Stylized for sleekness and modernity, without the elegance and perfectionism of Origin
There is a sliding scale of utilitarian vs luxurious
With Drake on one end and Origin on the other
This was.. awesome.
I assumed youโd gimble the s4sโฆ
I can agree with that! It's more modern but there is still analog buttons ect.
But I agree that Origin is perfectionist not only in style. ๐
Probably, but gimbal size reduction is going away in Master Modes
Instead it imposes a fire rate penalty
But yes, I have an appreciation for the Crusader style, though none of their ships really interest me specifically
Call me crazy but I think the herc is one of the prettiest ships
I really like the spirit too, and you can fit it in a cave!
The spirit looks nice on the outside
But herc better
Frankly fire rate penalty is nothing in comparison the the size reduction, specially since in MM, you can have the normal fire rate if you desactivate the gimbal with G. ๐
So with some skills it's all benefits.
Yeah inside the spirit is a bit.. strange, but I still like it, but I admit the Herc have better interior.
But the spirit give this feeling for me of "sleek, but solid"
Yes! And the cargo allow us to fit cargo and vehicle.
Heh
I'm very interested in finding out the exact cargo numbers for the various parts of the 600i
As soon as we know it..
I guess it's not too important in the grand scheme
Most of the cargo bay will be used for supply boxes, vehicles, and spare/looted components
You're right on that.. not a industrial looter of foreign places.
400i got 42
WHAT THE FUCK IS A CARGO
Iโm confused
Are you surprised it has so much? Or so little?
It is good
Maybe not the size of a C2
But whatever it got a little compartment for the X1
I keep telling people the 400s cargo bay is deceptively big
Itโs around cutlass sized
It just doesn't look it
As soon as you look in 3rd person or have someone else in there, you realise it's pretty spacious
I think it's just the columns in the centre around the lift that mess with the perception of it
I kinda like that about the 400 though
It doesn't seem too big on the inside but it's actually pretty spacious and CIG made good use of the ship's design

Boy I sure love John Wick
Yes! And it's very Origin at the end: they are so high tech that of course many components can be so optimized, miniaturized, that you can fit a lot more things here.
I cracked.
Max will be 600i. ๐
Like, when the bundle with G12 appear.
My honest reaction
Now that's flexing!
Huh
You know, I've always thought the 600 was too big to fit on the 890
The more you know
Also works as excellent shuttle service to/from the 890
No.
Shuttle is the Cutter
Cheap and practical

Now I want a Origin Cutter.
... It would look like a sphere.
Baby 600i
So, this?
Origin 0 (Zero)
It's a concept ship drawn by one of the top Ferrari artists, they wanted to see what a ship would look like and came out with this
Absolutely disgusting
Lol
I was looking for a teardrop ship I vaguely remember seeing from somewhere but couldn't find it
That seemed like the best option
Interesting. :o
But I was more thinking of a baby 600 yaeh. xD
Something a bit outlandish that would have all the ammenities. but I like it!
That looks like the DT-77 Pelican, and if it got squished by UNSC infinity from halo
Vereh nice
Damn !
That's a pretty piece of pie
Nice slice of life to have
That's a good name for an 890, the Slice of Life
I wonder if theyโll ever put an idris in the convention center
They couldnโt even fit an 890J in 2952. As if!
They put an 890 in this year
This year. Barely.
I just took a screenshot and slapped it in here
whats top right of you?
I have absolutely no clue what reshade it
I mean what's the light source
ahhh. ok got it
As we are all Origin here.
890J snub
It's a visual thing that happens sometimes when you leave a planet, the lighting can go funky for you but stuff that's already in space like stations would look fine
I don't think so, I think the ship is being lit by the planet Crusader below him
On it
I'll post later, got some things to do first
it looks mean from the front
Big!
The Jump's front reminds me of a blue whalers front profile lol
And for good reason
Because the 890 is owned by whales?
Indeed

The X1 handles kinda okay in space, could make for a fun scout with the low signatures
Still baffled by the insistence on keeping it open canopy
Making it closed canopy would be on brand and unique among bikes
It's still more closed canopy than any other hover vehicle
Instead we got a bike whose most significant difference is that it's pretty
But yeah, closed canopy would be nice
And that it has a shield

It would!
That's a nice view!
Stop ! You are making me dislike less and less the 890j
Sir no sir!
How I imagine Origin flexing their technological.skill..
Microtech is just if Origin was a planet
Aha sure! But I think minus the failed terraforming.
And with way bigger habitation areas!
Like Orison sized habs, or 25% more.
We did had a glimpse of some origin buildings too in their portfolio..
I would love to be just wandering around and seeing this fly by
Ooooh I so agree...
With 890 caused eclipses at times
for some reason i see Origin building on an exotic moon orbiting another exotic planet
Interesting idea. ๐
Yes! I would see using their technology to make amazing landscapes while making sure it's still natural. Like BIG moon seen from the planet.
Unreal, my screenshots came in #๐ทโscreenshots-hof
Damn congrats!
Building a ring around a moon?
eh not really
It's just a really close 600i
My ship is named the Blue Moon
I will find a name for my 600I. ๐
Call it the Golden Goose
Egg Benedict
Wow! BIS paint?
It is. I was kind of disappointed with the grey patch on the back and bright bottom. Makes this one of the only good angles in pics
It's not quite perfect but it's the best paint I've seen for it so far
And it was free so yahoo
My counter point is the brushed metal paint
Has blue accents if I recall correctly
I looked all over the Sterling paint and the only blue I saw was the standard accents on all 600s
Not enough, need more blue
All my ships need to be blue
My Pisces is blue, my Talon is blue, my 600i is as blue as I can get
When I get my Zeus I'm going to make that blue too
Maybe it'll let you put the blues and twos on like the Blue does
If I can get blue and red lights on the MR I'm all in
One of the few things I liked about the Cutlass Blue
We can hope
They said it was a possibility
Blue lights on the 325a when
