or - in a gameplay view - so more than 2 turrets can shoot at the Perseus xD HH bad for front facing weapon arcs also has to show belly or roof to the enemy for maximum turret focused fire

(Which is if you think about it extremely counter productive in a defense way since it forces the HH to show its largest side to the enemy making it way easier to hit )

While the defense missions points are not split among group members

So if a mission is only worth 1,000 points and there's two people, each receives 500 personal points

I had 2 idris one with laser and other with railgun, shit ton of fighters, and a Polaris shooting torps at me for 30 minutes and my front shield went down and that’s when I fled. It’s way harder to kill. They could of had me if they had a dampener since I couldn’t get my front shield to recover with how many ships were attacking me

A good chunk of the issues is they need a complete overhaul to how armor, weapons, deflection, pen, and ammo types function. Weapons should in theory have varying effectiveness depending on those values.

Shields shouldn't be a mitigator but a buffer

It's a bottleneck currently that doesn't really function like a shield

Perseus would be a monster if we had proper armor and deflection values

Polaris would benefit greatly too. Drake oddly enough would as well on a number of ships

What armor should be is damage nullification in percentage values per segment thickness with the effectiveness dropping per impact based on type of rounds used and whether it penetrates or bounces/explodes. Even Drake would still have fairly thick hulls on their larger ships. It just baffles me that devs keep doing hp based values vs practical negation and degrading effectiveness.
