Polaris in lore is new gen vs the Aurora, Zeus mk1, Connie line, and the bengals. Although the Perseus uses a mixture of these hull archetypes so hopefully they keep it that sleek look

I would just stick 2 remote PDTs on top of the manned turrets that move independently kinda like javelin turrets but not controlled by gunner as well as the current two

would have like all of the ship covered then

id feel the silhouette of the ship will be wierd, ir rather have them be on their own placements around the ship, particularly on the angled armour on the sides of the bridge, and one somewhere under the ship near its bow

they would either block or be blocked by the manned turrets

I am a bit worried about it's PDTs tho cuz they're ballistic gatlings I think

hope they don't run out in 5 seconds

considering the power management doesnt effect the s7 ballistics, the power should be able to boost pdt ammo capacity with laser repeaters. Also yeah that pdt between the engine nacelles is dumb, the "wings" of the perseus is a perfect lplace for defensive armaments

i was thinking that the extra two would be placed near the front, one in the spot youve described right infront of the bridge and the one infront of the cargo lift. That way the pdts can just freely fire whereever and provide as much of an defencive arc around the ship

I've just realised the bottom gun looks like it turns around and tucks itself upwards between the engines just behind the PDT when it's not in use because what's that weird rail thing is almost like the scorpius turret it's weird for a manned turret to do

or you leave the bottom front uncovered so it does still have a weak area that's undefended and also the size 7 if something came in front of them the size seven would be able to get it

I have slightly changed the 2nd paragraph thing

I justified why I think red and bottom white are best options

there's a big spine where the top PDT is so at the front and back of that spine the PDT has no coverage whatsoever

because it can't look down because there's the spine in the way
