it makes those long range fighters stop targetting the hh

then the hh can just pester it with missiles

also the same concept with torp boats

fighter escort can take out torp boats before they get close or even shoot their torps out

the only fighter i see being an issue are the ares

that could actually cause some damage with its gun

Really its just a numbers fight in that situation and a matter if the light/medium fighters can gang up and dispatch those heavy’s quickly

the way i see it is, if hh is being pestered from long range, thats when ur escort gets aggressive

other than that

if its just 5 light fighters

heavy fighters can stay close to hh

so that the light fighters have to get close enough to even deal damage to heavy fighters

which will prob be in range of the hh

Yeah PU situations are def gonna be more role dependent now squads are actually gonna be picking and finding strong suits and what good for the group over all bc yeah all LF in that situation is iffy but you do 3 LF & 2 HF i think they can put up a decent fight and possibly win against HH ( if better coordinated)

If you can isolate and focus on one of the escorts at a time very winnable

Probably depends on who gets blood lust first tho cause group of fighters can get tired of the fight and try to do risky shit to end it quickly and it ends up not in their favor and all fighters get swatted or it could be my situation above where the HH escorts get blood lusted and start to chase these LF and get isolated and picked

Worse than Talon Shrike at what its role is. Worse than Sabre Raven at its good looks. But looks good and functions ok enough that if it is cheap, then it could be bought.

Firebird looks very cool and i kinda like the concept but atm seems a bit in the middle ground where you have too few missiles to be consistent with the game in this state and falls a little short of dps compared to light fighters if we consider only its hardpoints once the missiles are gone. Tbh it's really dependent to missile hit rate and until they fix the servers (4.0 could be a huge step forward in that regard) it's kinda very hit or miss. Talon at least have 24 missiles to play with, you can afford some of them missing, firebird doesn't have that. My guess here is that this will be a kinda okay ship that could be really powerful in patches where missiles are strong and just below average when missiles get borked. Tbh my pledge could come or not, mostly depending on the ship price, but i don't have many hopes for that. Sabre base is already 170, the comet variant is 185. There is no match here for when the talon shrike exist and is only 115 (it's also true that the talon becomes totally irrelevant when missiles aren't good having just 2xS2 hardpoints).

yea nursa is perfect for the medical galaxy, put it on the life lift

I'm gonna have a nursa or regular Ursa on my med galaxy with c8r in the hangar

if you run nursa you can either use it for places a ship can't fly to, such as in a cave or if there's bad weather/bunker turrets

while also freeing the hangar for an escort fighter

if that's what you need

or... use both for diff things/diff missions

drop off nursa then deploy c8r to go to another moon
