So for me personally, I can understand sorta what you mean by it being a brick. @fierce wadi I think you'll be disappointed in the cameras and such, unless Fold 3 gets an upgraded sensor and camera but those things to me don't mean much because I'm not the biggest point and shoot person with my phone and such. It's great having the 120Hz screen though, that was the biggest jump for me from my iPhone but it's only on the big screen etc, I think either you're better off with the Ultra for you or waiting for fold 3

And then decide later if you want to go top shelf for the right hand

I wonna put my couple of cents in here too, as a 3D generalist.
People confuse heavily scripted and staged scenes with what "realistic rendering" an game engine can actually produce.
It's not that hard to create a hyper realistic scene like those today.
with unreal engine, you get Quixel assets for free, which are photogrammetry based 3D assets that are optimized, UVmapped and ready to just drag and drop into the engine.

And the creation pipeline is also heavily different.
They need to create their own tools in order to distribute all those things over a literal universe, which comes with benefits and downsides.
One of the biggest downsides is that they cannot really do heavy custom work on scenes in locations that are outside of major landing zones.

They could still technically kill themselves and respawn with a starter ship on a starter system, but yea...always need to be careful who you trust...
The coolest part is how good players actually used their carriers to help those in trouble....
