Elite works, Elite has much more to do and an entire galaxy, Elite has fleet carriers, Elite has better weapons for ships (not fps combat), Elite has WAY better ship HUDs, Elite has many third party support like EDHM, Elite has much better comms and teams, Elite has nearly ZERO bugs, and Elite has MUCH better ship combat especially PvP. The only things SC has better is graphics and ground combat, and ofc number of ships and interiors but in Elite there's no infinite loading screens... just jump in and GO.

And flight model is way, WAY better

Agree on all your points but elite pvp is not good because they ruined it with engineering, which requires you to put in hundreds of hours just to get a competitive ship to partake in pvp. I've only played ED a month, with 340 hours total. I have yet to experience a bug. Some weird jank once in a great while on my fleet carrier, but NOTHING like bugs in SC, or even the few I've seen in NMS.

If you decide to play NMS put aside any expectations of realism and instead expect a science fiction world. Flight and combat are arcade like.

Progression feels very amazing and not like a grind, more relaxing than anything. There are a couple different modes (I recommend normal)

You gradually unlock better equipment through the story, your own will or stumbling across something unexpected. Freighters, frigates, ships, weapons, cosmetics, building parts, settlements, etc etc you'll see.

Main story-line is not that good but I highly recommend completing it, after that there are tons of other quests to choose from whenever you want.

also one cool thing and bad thing about nms is that you can customize most of your gameplay experience.

there is normal mode, relaxed mode, survival mode, creative mode and these are all on the same universe able to see and interact each other, and then there is custom mode which is an experience modified to how u want. many options to choose from

besides that there is perma death mode and abandoned mode, both are perma death and both are on separate universes. abandoned mode sets you in a galaxy with no lifeforms, i.e no populated systems. no alien races.

It's probably a loading issue where the planet thinks it has to load all of the ocean content when you approach the planet along with the surface. When you restart, the proper occlusion system kicks in and won't load anything out of view.

A friend drives a chevy spark. It makes 91 HP if i recall. Its surprisingly peppy. Not fast mind you, but its rather happy about life and not dog slow

I just checked and google says it does 0-60 in about 10 seconds. Thats certainly not gonna win many drag races but....slower cars for sure exist.

In contrast, i drive a 2020 jeep grand cherokee with the V6 that makes 300 HP....but the truck also weighs over 5K lbs and has a 0-60 time of 7 seconds. So only 3 seconds difference between 90HP and 300HP vehicles

the issue is I intend to stack these on top of eachother, which would cause compounding sagging

Whats the best approach to reinforcing the middle where the arrows are? I cannot add much more material, this has to fit within 1u of rack space
