Which means blazing through the story usually, since I don't have a life, so I can play 8+ Hours a day. I've lost two online acquaintances because they chose to do that to me. I couldn't enjoy Borderlands 2 on its release because of that, so I just said "F. Them" and went on ahead, since they literally won't respond to my DMs asking when we could play next. (As they were the ones who forced it upon me, not me on them.)

we didn't think he was like that tho so we didn't think anything of it when we left as long as she was ok staying there with him

so yeah now she no longer likes him and neither do we, which is good

My personal recommendation is to go for an Omnithrottle left and a premium right.

You may want desk mounts. For some higher-end sticks desk or chair mounts are borderline mandatory, but for Gladiators just running on your desk is OK.... It's OK but mounts are definitely better. They're optional.

There's no like control boxes or accessories that you 100% need, just a rabbit-hole of additional hardware you can run down in your adventure to build the ultimate sim setup.
